This game will take you back - back to when there were games where plot was the centric focus and things weren't always happy. Instead, they were serious, dark, and unknown. At Snitched, Voldemort was never defeated that night when Hogwarts went under siege. In fact, that night has yet to occur because the Death Eaters arrived at Bill and Fleur's wedding and captured many key Order members and guests in attendance. Some died, but most were imprisoned or fled somewhere safe. Since that fateful night, Voldemort has gained innumerable strength to the point where he is unstoppable. He owns the Ministry and the Wizarding World. Secretly, he owns the Muggle world and part of Europe where the Death Eaters flourish. Now that his reign is no longer contested, he has set about putting his plans into order. Muggleborns, Halfbloods, and those that are traitors to the cause are imprisoned. Some might be allowed out as slaves, providing of course that there are Death Eaters and purebloods who want them. Those that have yet to be caught are forced to flee and hide. Those that are still pureblooded are allowed to live neutrally amongst society. They are not forced to take the mark, but they are required to obey the new law - Voldemort's Law. Their loyalty must be unwavering - if they support another cause, then they must be absolutely mum about it. But word to the wise: Don't say Voldemort's name; the word itself will surely lead to the capture of those responsible no matter what their status in society. This game is not for the faint at heart. There will be dark themes and happiness will only be found in hidden corners or alleyways. There are those who will fight, who want Voldemort's reign to end, but doing so will take time, tears, blood, and sacrifice. post comment

No Such Place: An Original Fantasy RPG [09 May 2008|02:12am]                     “ . . . All that was left in Pandora's box was hope.” During the 21st century, a global pandemic consumed the world. Due to its devastating nature, they dubbed it the “Pandora Virus.” No one had time to truly study it or to counter the rapid spreading of PV. The virus tore through the world’s population, killing almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and most of the earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora Virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine. There were others, though. Others who inhabited this planet along with human beings, but they had been in hiding for many centuries. Praeternaturals, they were — legendary beings and creatures believed to be nothing more than myth. All of them were also biologically immune to the Pandora Virus. With the foresight of the oracle named Euryale, praeternaturals learned of what was to come shortly before it began and prepared for the preordained onslaught. They built safe havens in hidden areas across the world that were protected heavily by magic. Taking in humans and praeternaturals alike before the war, these communities provided a stable living environment for the survival of all species. One such safe haven is an ancient land once inhabited by elves. It has been renovated into a sanctuary and renamed to Elysium. Located in the modern-day Republic of Macedonia near Lake Ohrid, it was once a part of Greece. Now, it is a part of the process to one day rebuild the world. Victoria and her army of newborn vampires were finally defeated. High school had officially come to a close and graduation had come and gone. Now what Bella Swan left to look forward to?
