In the aftermath, everyone is struggling to get on with their lives. Imagine what would happen if Fred, Remus, Tonks and Severus survived. The Weasleys would be whole, but Fred has a long recovery ahead of him, and it is up to George to get his twin through it all. Remus and Tonks have their son, but have gone through a divorce, and need to recover before it can all be finalized. Severus is in hiding, and only Harry Potter knows he is alive. Percy has returned to the Ministry to help get the new Wizarding government in place, while Bill and Fleur are having problems. Andromeda and Narcissa have survived losing Bellatrix, but can the two remaining Black sisters ever see past their differences now that Voldemort is gone? The Death Eaters are in Azkaban or in hiding, while their families struggle with their assets being seized and their lives being turned upside down, and are faced with alternatives that they never thought would be choices to them. But will the Ministry do enough to bring the fugitives to justice, or will the Order have to serve a new purpose now? Welcome to a post-war world where everyone is struggling to pick up the pieces and rebuild what was lost. There are many questions. Where does the Ministry now stand? Will the remaining Death Eaters regroup and retaliate? Is the Order still strong enough to handle anything that may happen? Is St. Mungo's able to handle the number of casualties? What about those who want to see justice served against those who killed their loved ones, no matter the cost? We are especially looking for: Draco, Lucius, Ron, Hermione, Neville, Luna, Daphne, Blaise, Molly, Arthur, any former/current students, Order Members, Dumbledore's Army Members, and Death Eaters. The Trio’s hunt for Horcruxes hasn’t yielded success since the destruction of Slytherin’s locket in 1997. The Ministry is entering its sixth month of being controlled by the Death Eaters. Under Minister William Travers, personal liberties are at an all-time low and Muggleborns are practically slaves. At Hogwarts, the Carrows wreak havoc on the student body, with Headmistress Umbridge’s guidance and blessings. As they find themselves, one-by-one, on the Undesirables list, members of the Order of the Phoenix are moving into Number 12 Grimmauld Place, one of the only places they are safe. Disorder and oppression have become the status quo. On the other hand, the Purebloods of society have found themselves in a Renaissance. Those who do not help the Death Eaters – or their un-Marked, junior faction, the Reactionary Federation – are taking to their legally established superiority with Golden Age decadence. Parties, marriages, and grandiose displays of wealth and power are commonplace. The Death Eaters and members of the Reactionary Federation, on the other hand, take their newfound power and use it to advance the Dark Lord’s aims amongst the populace. Whether they do so through laws, abuses of power, or outright terrorism depends on the person, but they make it known that there is a new order in the world, and that it will not suffer challengers. Rent Asunder is a new Harry Potter RPG, opening on January 21st.
