This is more of a [...] heads up than anything else. Steve Rogers from Marvel has informed me that Rebecca Lyons, the girl who assisted Crane in the spread of his virus, has disappeared from custody. It seems to be the work of the hotel. She might return, but she might not. [Blink.] That's all.

Dinosaur door. I thought it was odd he hadn't found a way out himself. He goes by Jon K, talks exactly like our old Scarecrow used to with the stilted politeness that I know very well and I got him chatting with me about fear pretty easy.

The thing is that if this was the Crane we knew, he'd have no issue telling me who he was. We were on speaking terms when he died. This Jonny is very guarded. It may not be him. The only way I could know for certain would be to go see him myself or try to summon Crane's ghost with his ashes. If I didn't get so much as a ghost fart from him, I'd assume he's back.

	I feel the same. It doesn't matter what point he comes from or how many chances he has, Crane never changes. He'll probably know enough to keep a low profile if he comes back, but we can keep an eye out regardless. Watch the places he's familiar with. [...] If you're sure it's not too much of a risk. Muerte insisted that I tell you where I'll be whilst trying to summon his ghost. I'm in Sleepy Hollow. I can't tell you exactly how to get here except go through the woods and think very hard about the town. You'll get there eventually. There's an old church at the edge of town that got half destroyed by the Revolutionary War. I'll be there. Muerte will be too, in case something happens. If you don't hear from me within a day or so, then I've probably died and something bad happened to Muerte.

[An afternoon later:] Tried to summon Crane and it didn't work. There was a void where his spirit should have been, which leads me to believe my hunch could possibly be right. That, coupled with the vivid dream I had with Crane in it makes me think it's absolutely him. I'm going to try to contact him next week.

If it is him, he's trying to play it straight again. Just a warning.

He said he was killed by a cat and told me that he belonged behind a desk. I laughed at him, as would anyone, and asked him about the mask. He tried to play off like it was for therapy, so I showed him my version of Crane, scared him a little and then kicked him out of my dream. [...] Agreed. I don't particularly get along with Steve anymore either, but it's better that they know after what happened.
