I'm awful, but this necromancy thing might have been a blessing. I was drinking myself into oblivion before. [Dot, dot. Amused.] You've never seen Nightmare before X-Mas? [Dot.] No of course you haven't. [Dot.] It's a tale about the Pumpkin King who gets tired of doing Halloween every year, so he ventures over to Christmas Town and tries his hand at that. Turns out he's terrible at stuffing stockings and dressing trees, so he almost completely ruins Christmas. [Dot.] And, then he realizes he's meant to be the king of Halloween Town and never leaves again.

After we found out she can't have kids. It's been all downhill from there. [Dot, dot.] Actually, no. Steph and I have been doing pretty bad since we got back to Gotham after the honeymoon. We're just great at hiding it. [Dot, dot, dot.] It's the opposite of safe, but I'll be alright. I can summon ghosts now, I need to be trained by spooky folk who know what they're doing. Otherwise I'll throw Gotham into chaos without trying.

I think the fact that we're married finally hit Stephanie. She's not used to men with good intentions so she's waiting for me to show my true colors as it were.

I promise I'll tell you. In the meantime [...] Dick isn't really himself. He's cheery in a manic way that's a bit alarming. I don't think there's much either of us can do for him, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

It's alright. I'm fine. Selina is recovering, and once she's strong enough we'll be taking a few days away. [Blink.] And Helena pulled through. That helps.

[Dot, dot, dot.] It's unbearable actually. I can't talk to Barbara. Dick and I only have superficial, ridiculous conversations. [...] Sometimes I worry they'll ask us to start taking care of the kid while they're doing super hero stuff and then want it back when it's convenient. That's my worst fear because neither Steph or I could say no.

I ought to visit Helena when I get back. Maybe bring her something from here. Have you seen her?
