But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him. Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard. Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat. That means in the world 6,706,999 people are immune. 30,382 in the US. 4,301 in Colorado. 2,506 in Denver... In July of 2012 a pathogen that came to be known as The Fury Virus was released by a cult of religious fanatics who believed they were destined to do so in order to bring about the apocalypse. Their goal was to purge the Earth of sinners, people unworthy to stand upon it. Only the righteous would remain, those that had earned their place in the new world. Everything did not go according to plan. The virus was uncontrollable. No continent, no country, no city was spared. The infection spread everywhere, mercilessly and indiscriminately killing saints and sinners alike . In the end, only a small percentage of people were left alive, but they were not the righteous. They'd simply won the genetic lottery, blessed with immunity and cursed with the burden of watching the world fall apart around them. Then there were the others, another small percentage of the population, who didn't die from the virus. They were changed though. Changed into beings made up purely of madness and rage. They killed without thought or hesitation. Those that survived the virus without succumbing to madness were now forced to fight for the lives they were trying to rebuild. The creatures, those that were changed, were called Eaters, due to their insatiable appetite for living flesh. One group of survivors made the drive up Mount Evans, to the University of Denver's Meyer-Womble Observatory, away from the packs of Eaters that roamed the cities and the plain. There, they started a new life, building a new home known as Haven. For the last eight months, they've worked tirelessly, building walls to keep their new home safe. What they can't make or grow on their own, they raid from the mostly empty city of Denver. The Eaters still come, roving bands looking for flesh to sate their hunger. The Ministry of Magic was taken over by the Dark Lords followers. Purebloods that understood the cause were at his beck and call. Some half-bloods of social standing tried to change their bloodlines by smudging documents in hopes to keep themselves and their money safe. Muggleborns were treated like common criminals and hunted by an order called, Snatchers. And blood-traitors were victimized for their political views. change was on the horizon. The students of Hogwarts were thrown into that change without warning. As the new year began Headmaster Snape proved to be just as nasty as he had been as a teacher. The employment of the Carrows siblings brought on obvious alterations to the schools interests. With the implementation of a Dark Arts class, the rebirth of the Inquisitorial Squad, and the newfound form of physical punishment...students were asked to choose sides. For it was believed that cleansing the youth was necessary to preparing them for the Dark Lords new order. and what better place to start than hogwarts? forgottenpages is a DH-compliant, trio-era-seventh-year game. Here we look to explore Hogwarts and Hogwarts only. Though the castle walls are greatly influenced by the world beyond them students are rarely, if ever, let in on details. With no real contact with the outside world and such drastic measures being taken by the new administration students are forced to conform or in the rare case...rebel. [17 Jul 2009|03:38pm] In the year 2000, the story of how the UK was taken over is one passed down from person to person in the shadows, carried by a whisper and a hollow gasp. No one can understand how finally, the noble Harry Potter could have won, and then lost so quickly. A room full of people got to see the last of Voldemort, and no longer are scared to utter his name, even if most do so quietly. Now there is a word much more horrifying. The Mortvi are a ruthless lot, Death Eaters renaming themselves after the fall of Voldemort. They used to be his closest of slaves, rather then minions. Many scorned and angry they disappeared into the darkness after their master's fall. Nobody knows how they could return and sweep the Ministry building in one night, and foil the Order in another. Not even the Order can figure out how it happened. There is no Prophecy to hold them back, and only a new world order of terror to set them forward. Who's going to stop them? They have once again emerged as if walking out of the Fountain of Youth, almost super human. Having at least ten years sucked from their once sagging faces they have achieved the feat of unbelievable ability. There is not much hope, but much surprise. The United Kingdom is in peril. The Lestranges are the Ministers for Magic, each of them, without The Dark Lord to hold them back on their escapades, the British island and its people are pawns to their tests of society. They have even fooled the new generation of wizards into doing their bidding as they once did the bidding of the Dark Lord. Umbra Populus, the young brigade to the Mortvi. They stroll about free as birds even though they are captors like everyone else. But soon even they won't be so...'free.' Nearly two years after the war, and witches and wizards everywhere are still having trouble putting their lives back together. Missing friends, dead family, strained relationships, and social inadequacies are causing mixed feelings everywhere. What should have been a perfect time is now, to put it best, awkward. The war happened four years ago and everything is finally rebuilt and back to normal. Minister Ponter and his anti-Pureblood ways are out and Ministress Whirlington is in. Unfortunately it looks like a small group of Death Eaters have been trying to distrupt the peace and calm that has been restored. But in between the negatives everyone is trying to simply live their lives. Proposals have been made, friendships have been broken, and despite everything life is continuing on. [17 Jul 2009|08:49pm] A mutation of the HIV virus has left the global population infertile. Panic abounds. Extremist governments have come to power in most countries - including the United States. But there is a cure. The United States government announces a treatment that can restore fertility among its people. However, it comes at a cost. Legislation has passed, effectively listing all unmarried individuals aged 16 to 50 in a pairing lottery with the intent to form heteronormative families. All matched couples are sent into their forced cohabitation and required to spend time together in government sanctioned matrimony. Once a month they are required to undergo the fertility treatment, and expected to produce children. Failure for one or both spouses to comply will result in imprisonment in the infamous Adjustment Centers until they do. People have died. Others have simply disappeared. In Seattle, the government rules with an iron fist through the power of its two puppet organizations: the Pairing Office and the Adjustment Center. Fledgling anti-governmental organizations are becoming more daring, but their efforts to overthrow the powers that be still waver in the face of a complacent public opinion and lingering panic. Which side will you choose? Neo Genesis is a dystopic arranged marriage RPG set in an universe parallel to our own. That was the night Sirius Black died, the night the Prophecy was destroyed, and the night the Ministry finally admitted that Voldemort had returned. But something else happened that night, something the Ministry never released. Many of the rooms in the Department of Mysteries were damaged, but the Time Turner room was completely destroyed. 1 July 1996. Exactly one week after that fateful night at the Ministry, a stranger arrives in the Department of Mysteries claiming to be from 24 February 1980. Only after Albus Dumbledore interviews this stranger do they realise that this was the night the Prophecy was made. With each day that passes, more people arrive, some who have been dead for the past sixteen years. No one can explain it, and no one can stop it.
