Sleeping had not been easy to find at home (wherever home was these these days) but it was harder by far to come by at the resort. When Teddy wasn't tossing and turning and trying to find it, he was being haunted by nightmares that made the few hours he caught almost as tiring as being asleep. The unfamiliar environment and constant edginess brought on by being a prisoner (again) were just making the night terrors that had haunted them before being pulled into the resort worse, except here there was no one to turn to but Billy, who he would go to with any problem....except this.
That left only one option when he woke up in a cold sweat: wandering. Though he and Billy had cased every inch of the resort since their arrival, and talked with plenty of people who had done the same and still found nothing, some part of Teddy still forced him to hope that he would stumble upon a way out. Not that he was likely to do it while wandering barefoot in the dark, following his feet wherever they would take him.
And they happened to take him to Billy's door, out of habit or suppressed desire, he didn't care, because now that he was looking up at the dark windows of the cabin there was no part of Teddy that could make himself turn away. Of course, he didn't realize until he had already grown wings and flown up to the window he knew to be Billy's that he had absolutely no explanation for arriving in the middle of the night. Except perhaps being a creepy stalker boyfriend.
Too late. His hand was already raised to knock on the window, and the moon had cast his shadow across the bed. He would have to settle for coming off as creepy and hope that he was cute enough to make Billy forgive him.
