"Pleasedon't." It came out as one word, one quick but emphatic plea. The mage cleared his throat and avoided Teddy's gaze, uncertain if he could admit what he was about to say while looking him in the eye.
"...I uhm... I haven't been sleeping really well for a little while. But, I mean... if you... if you'd want to maybe uhm... I'd really like it if you could spend the night..."
The invitation was there. Billy had forsaken his pride in favor of the overwhelmingly pleasing ideas of both actually attaining sleep, and spending more than some fleeting moments wrapped up in one another's arms.
Twice. That was the total number of times they'd actually slept together. And it hadn't actually been together. The first time, he'd fallen asleep on the couch during a movie and woken up with his head in Teddy's lap. The second time, they'd been put to sleep by some D-Grade henchmen who shouldn't have been able to get the drop on them.
But like this... like this they could both actually enjoy each other. And that prospect was worth more to Billy than any more masculine pride, or whatever it was that had kept him from making the request up until now.
