So I've been thinking about the whole owl scenario and have been growing increasingly paranoid at the idea they somehow find a way to break our journal wards. Not sure how they would do this exactly, but I was up in the middle of the night thinking about it and my thoughts just went wild. So I think I'm going to try and build our own network. This might take me a moment.

I'm also considering stealing some chickens for the room, but that is less a plan and more a vague idea for the time being.

Fun Fact: Old books tend to have a sweet scent to them because of lignin, which is a complex organic polymer that helps make certain plants rigid and woody. It's present in all wood-based paper and related to vanillin, which is a fragrance compound in vanilla. So as the lignin breaks down over time, it causes a faint vanilla sent on the paper.

Vanilla is also a scent that has been reported to be considered "highly attractive" to men according to a Witch Weekly article I read this summer.
