she talks to him,the way he would his mother to talk to him..a little bit mad at first, but very proud that he stepped off the precipice (which brian does a lot of)but in the process lost his job..

Ia, and this is why Deb is so much more of a mother to him than Joan. She takes on the good and bad of being a mother to him, and here we really see the warmth and love of their relationship.
