It was blisteringly hot that Monday morning. I pushed into Kinnetik's air-conditioned coolness, where an annoyingly cheerful Ted followed me into my office, asking about New York.
"I didn't go."
"Didn't go?" He seemed stunned. "Brian… you can't…"
"Can't… what?"
"Just… " He paused, clearly overwhelmed with the complexities of my psyche. "We all thought you'd finally…"
I raised an eyebrow in Ted's direction. "Finally spent the weekend at the house with Justin, beating the heat in our swimming pool and fucking each other's brains out? Because if that's what you mean, Theodore, then I guess you all were right." |

Justin sighed in annoyance as he approached his apartment. He didn’t know what was wrong with him. He wasn’t sick, but he’d been restless and moody all week. The bright summer sun just irritated him more. Painting hadn’t helped, last night’s outdoor concert hadn’t helped, and today’s walk had done nothing but leave him hot and sweaty in addition to restless and moody.
He opened his door and found Brian waiting. “Hey, what are you doing here?”
Brian shrugged and closed his laptop. “You sounded. . .”
“Yeah, I know.” He greeted Brian with a long kiss, feeling better already. |

It was hot, even at midnight. I could hear music from every apartment, and the sounds of overburdened air conditioners.
A black car pulled up to the curb, and I grinned and set down my warm beer. I pulled open the door and fell into the cool, dim interior, my sweaty arms going around Brian's neck.
He nuzzled into my damp hair. "One five star, air-conditioned hotel with 24-hour room service and hot and cold running dick, as requested."
"This," I said as he licked the sweat off my throat, "is why I love you."
Brian laughed, and kissed me. |

Title: Water Sports
Notes: Thanks to the lovely besamislabios for her beta. I am having trouble thinking of summer fun for Justin and Brian. I don't picture them as the outdoorsy types. Brian gets his tan from a tanning bed after all and I'm not sure Justin can get outdoors too much what with that pale skin and those allergies. Anyway...I'll shut up and post. And maybe consider other QaF characters for my next drabble.
And the condom goes to: Debbie.
Justin wandered through the loft in his underwear.
"I hate summer. Is the a/c even working?" he complained. "It's too fucking hot!"
"But it's not too hot for fucking." Brian, who was stretched out on the sofa, reached out and pulled Justin down on top of him. He licked at Justin's neck, sucking the skin into his mouth before he kissed him. Justin struggled a little, but kissed him back.
As he licked across Justin's lips, Brian said, "Come on, we'll go take a shower. It'll cool you off."
Justin's eyes lit up. "Water sports. My favorite summer activity!" |
