Hearts and flowers had been easy; I knew he would find out for himself those things were bullshit.
Commitment and monogamy?
I had no frame of reference for that; he was tired of waiting for me to find one.

I don’t for one minute regret any of it because we’re here… now.
He squeezes me tight like he may never let go again. And I’m okay with that. I smile brightly up at him, which he returns by kissing my lips, his tongue seeking mine for a gentle caress.

So, he had shown up without permission and now he waits in “their” bed. Telling himself Drew’ll come. After all, He’s a gentleman at heart and wouldn’t treat a “Southern lady” so unkind. He wouldn’t be so cold...</em>
God, Drew was so… unexpected. It couldn’t end like this, could it? |
