Hung over and irritable, Jack waited for his breakfast. When Claire began to whine about curfew, he shot her a warning glance and she clammed up.
Draining his juice glass, Brian stood to take it to the sink. As he walked past Jack, something on his neck flashed and caught Jack’s eye.
“What the fuck?” Jack grabbed Brian’s arm. “Is that glitter?”
Brian jerked away. “None of your goddamn business,” he sneered. His father wasn’t interested in the truth, and he wasn’t worth lying to.
Jack grabbed for him again, but Brian kept walking.
He never spent another night there. |

And the Condom Goes To: Ted and Blake
We stand naked in front of the window, a sheet loosely wrapped around our hips.
I hold the cigarette up to his lips and idly watch him inhale, then slowly release the smoke through his nose.
I lean in and lick his lips, adding a slight nip to the plump bottom one just because I can.
His closed eyes fly open as another set of fireworks blossom across the night sky, painting his face in shades of red and gold.
As he smiles in delight, I remember hot, sweaty nights at Babylon, and endless glitter swirling slowly down upon us. |

Warnings/Author's Notes: Death!fic. Yeah, I know - what kind of depraved mind gets death out of glitter? Also, a huge thanks to florida_minxie who beta'd this for me and gave me the title.

They had been at Babylon the night of the accident, when Justin had decided to go home early. If he had stayed for one more drink, he wouldn't have met the car and Brian wouldn't be standing beside a grave with his hands in his pockets. They had danced, he remembered, they had danced and laughed and drank.
But now everything was different. Justin was gone. Everybody was wearing black coats instead of tight jeans. The only thumpa-thumpa came from Brian's relentless heartbeat.
And rain had replaced the glitter that used to fall down around them. |

Warnings/Author's Notes: This was orignally sad. Then it got silly.

The problem with glitter, Justin decided, was that it got everywhere. And once it was there, it stuck. He had washed his hair last night after Babylon, but this morning, he had woken up with glitter covering his pillow. How did Emmett do this every night?
And talking of Emmett, if he ever came near Justin again saying, "Just a little bit", Justin would run. He would run very far away. Because to Emmett, a little bit of glitter meant a lot.
Brian's raised voice came from the bedroom. "Justin, why the fuck is there glitter on my bed?" |

Brian stared at the order and grabbed the phone. Apparently Theodore forgot there were better fucking uses for his money than fucking glitter for Babylon.
Then he remembered dancing with Justin, blissed out on E, and catching his tongue on glitter as he licked the smooth skin of Justin’s neck. He could taste it, flat and metallic, beneath the tang of his sweat.
He thought of fucking Justin the next morning, before they were fully awake, then bitching about the flecks of glitter stuck to his pillowcases, his fingers, his cock.
Brian put the phone down and doubled the order. |
