Title: Cutting Ties
Condom: Justin
Craig watched the police car drive away and wondered if Justin would ever get it. Jen had indulged him shamelessly as a child, and it showed in his complete disregard for anyone’s feelings but his own. Craig had done everything he could to steer him away from the life of deviance he’d chosen, but Justin was stubborn.
A night in jail wasn’t any more likely to change him than the numerous attempts Craig had made over the years to toughen Justin up. But that wasn’t his problem any more; Craig was washing his hands of Justin once and for all. |

And the Condom Goes To: Brian
In the end, I didn’t go with Brian to say good-bye to Gus.
There were still some things that I knew Brian needed to do with the least amount of witnesses.
Watching Gus’s moms flee the country with his son was one; watching me pack up the bulk of the life I’d so recently moved back into the loft was another.
By the time he returned, the boxes were on their way to my new home, and all traces of yet another attempt to meld our lives together had been erased.
But next time, there would be no more excuses. |

Notes: This drabble was conceived by ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) ahaw9913 and co-written by both of us. This is the first time I've co-written a "serious" drabble and it was so much fun! *hugs Rhonda tightly* I am so glad you wanted to write with me.
And the condom goes to: Brian Kinney, but of course!
"Brian...I won’t take this tip, it’s too much.” Justin tossed the bills back on the bar and turned away.
“I heard you had to make bail,” Brian shrugged, a glimmer of a smile playing across his lips. “You need it.”
Turning back quickly, Justin said, “Who told you?”
Brian shrugged. “Doesn’t matter,” he said, pushing the bills back. “Besides, I’d have paid a lot more to see you stand up against that asshole.” Pulling on his jacket, he walked out of the diner.
Justin stared at the door for a long moment, then, smiling broadly, got back to work. |
