Title: Roundy-rounds
Author: specialj67
Condom: Daddy!Brian

Justin leaned back against the couch cushions, watching the little boy spin around and around giggling like a maniac. Daphne glanced up every minute or so from folding the latest round of laundry to make sure her son didn't accidentally spin himself into the nearby arm chair or sliding glass door.

Twice in one day was plenty.

“I can't help wondering if the copious drug use in our wayward youth has resulted in your son's...weirdness,” Justin mused.

Daphne snickered. “Well, once your and Brian's bundle of joy arrives we can compare notes.”

'Only two months to go,' Justin thought.

Title: Why There's no Cover Sheet on the TPS Report
Author's Notes: I haven't been inspired in ages--woo!
Condom: Blake

Ted knows whether it's going to be a productive night when he looks up from his laptop screen to see Blake standing there with Thai takeout and that little grin that makes Ted want to molest the shit out of him. Dinner is quiet, with Blake talking about the latest grant proposal he's working on for the center or Ted saying how the new intern is still too afraid to say anything in front of Brian.

Dessert is decidedly less quiet, and if the overnight cleaning crew notices that Mr. Schmidt's desk is less tidy than usual, well...Brian and Justin aren't the only ones having after-hours office sex.

Title: Senses
Author: specialj67
Timeline: post-s5
Warning: major character death
Condom: Brian

The silence is only broken by your puttering around; no one calls after you get back from the service because they know you won't answer, and you'll delete all of the messages anyway. The late-afternoon sunlight cuts across the floor, and you watch it creep further into the loft, up through the open screen around the bedroom, across the bed until it begins to slowly fade, gradually, to the gray of evening.

You decide to go to bed after you finish wiping the kitchen counters for the fifth time. Lock the door, set the alarm, turn off the light over the stove, close the bedroom screens, brush your teeth, take off your clothes, slide under the covers. While you lay there, you listen to the low hum of the heater kicking in--the only other sound besides your own breathing.

In. Out.

You stare out into darkness.

The bed never felt bigger than it does now without someone else there tossing and turning until he gets "just right" before settling down to sleep with his legs tangled in yours.

It makes you want to crawl out of your skin, sell the loft and live anywhere else, but you stay. Because this is where you feel Justin the most, and you're not ready to give that up yet.

Challenge #27: Moving Day [Aug. 28th, 2007|08:49 pm]

Title:Relocation
Author:specialj67
Warnings/Notes:Major character death, takes place late s4
Condom:Ted

The last day of Ted Schmidt's life began as it always did--with a loud alarm clock blaring too early followed by a hot shower and jerk-off that was neither very hot nor very satisfying. Things didn't get any better once he reached the office--they rarely do.

He never saw the falling I-beam, never saw the swarm of people gathering around his limp body, never saw the memorial service. The last thing he saw before being pulled into the abyss were his friends packing up his apartment, a weeping Emmett boxing up dildos.

When Ted died, he didn't think it would feel like this. Maybe it was because Emmett had made them watch "Ghost" 14 times too many or that all of those operas really had warped his sense of reality. Being dead clearly wasn't as sexy as Patrick Swazye made it look.
