I shivered, digging my hands deeper in my pockets as I looked down at the street from the rooftop. Ben walked towards me, his arms pulling me close and I snuggled against his chest.
I’d lost part of my childhood today but a young boy had lost his life.
I looked up at Ben; he was deep in thought. I knew he would be thinking about his own mortality. I didn’t have the words to comfort him, but I could hold him and love him. I just hoped that was enough. Death scared me, not for myself, but for Ben. |

A/N: Had to play with this episode a bit because Ben and Michael did not have any scenes together...call it writers licence..so it's really a Justin/Michael drabble.
I put a fresh cup of black coffee next to Justin.
“That’s it…we are officially out of coffee!”
“You expect me to come up with new drawings without coffee?”
“I managed to write a whole issue with only one cup!”
“Your part isn’t as exhausting as mine!”
“What?”
“I have to come up with a multitude of ways for Rage to fuck JT!”
“And when is Zepher going to have hot passionate sex?”
“In your dreams!”
I turned as Ben walked in.
“My dream has just walked in…see you later”
I grabbed Ben and dragged him off to the bedroom. |

I turn around and there he is. I hadn’t believed that he would come.
He walks towards me and takes my arms in his. The music starts. It’s just us, nothing else matters. The music carries us. I don’t ever want this moment to end.
I wake, sweating. My heart is racing, my palms clammy. I turn over and loop my arm over him.
“You OK?” he murmurs.
“Yeah, I’m fine” I whisper. “I think I just remembered something”
“Remembered what?” He turns to me, a look of concern on his face.
“That it was the best moment of my life.” |

I sat up, careful not to disturb Ben. He rolled over, and I wrapped my fingers in his as a soft sigh escaped from him.
We’d spent hours making love, and he’d dropped off to sleep almost immediately. I couldn’t settle.
Was this what it would always be like, his meds not working; his anger and frustration at seemingly doing everything right but still not winning the battle against this disease.
I loved him; I would be there for him when he needed me. I just hoped next time he turned to me instead of facing all his worries alone. |
