A/N: Because this weeks challenge is word/character specific and I only do Ben/Michael and family drabbles, and because I just cant help writing them anyways, just wrote one to satisfy my drabbling addiction.

Love comes in many different ways.
Sometimes it hits you like a lightning bolt.
Other times it sneaks up on you unexpectedly.
For me it was when I was sitting in my dusty comic book store eating a sandwich. The bell tinkled and before me stood my future
"Hey, what are you thinking about?" Ben asked, dropping down onto the sofa
"Sandwiches comics and you." I replied, kissing him deeply
"Is there a connection here I am missing?" he asked, when we finally came up for air
"Yeah" I pulled him to his feet, leading him to our bedroom "Love" |

“Wait!”
Justin smiled.
“Where are you going?”
“I was invited to this party by a couple of guys at Babylon.”
“Michael and Emmett?”
“No, I met them last night. They bought me drinks.”
Justin hid his sense of victory as he felt himself pulled back by the hood on his sweatshirt.
“I have a better idea.”
Brian’s mouth covered Justin’s smile as Brian unzipped his Hoody. |

They sat on the beach watching as Hunter and JR played at the water’s edge.
The wind carried her delighted giggles to them as Hunter poured more water around the princess castle she had demanded he make for her.
“Daddy! Come and see what Hunter made for me”
“I’m coming Honeybun”
Ben pulled Michael closer to him, knowing how much he treasured each of her visits.
“She’s growing so fast!”
“I know”
He looked up at Ben, a wistful look in his eyes
“I wish we could have more”
Ben gave Michael a puzzled look.
“More what baby?”

He threw the bottles quickly into his drawer and turned to his father, catching the haunted look in his eyes he wasn’t quick enough to hide.
“Hey!”

“You ok?”
“Sure”
“Michael?”
“What?”
He took a deep breath
“How do you do it?”
”Do what?”
“Not let it get you down”
“What?”
“Ben. Me. Being positive”
“I try not to think about it”
“Does that work?”
“Not always”
“So what do you do then?”
“Be grateful for every day, every week, every year”
”And that’s enough?”
