all day || outside sunset village
[If you happen to be travelling outside Sunset Village, you might've noticed this little group of a white-haired dude and his nearly equally as white-haired daughter, going back and forth from the town, carrying things over to a wooden house a little further past the train station, along the mostly empty greener areas past the Village itself.

Nothing too extraordinary, but someone clearly settling in might feel a little unusual given most people were initially told there were no permanent residents yet, and told of the fleeting nature of this world. Maybe you wonder how are they managing to purchase multiple items already. Perhaps you received your own charm, or requested to stay longer, and would like to chat to people in the same situation.

Or maybe you're just stopping by to listen to the third person involved - the bard, who doesn't seem to be helping much at all, unless you count his music lifting everyone's spirits... supposedly.]

[He gets some grace in that even as she looks around them for the path to head down, she feels distracted by the jumble of her own thoughts, much as she's letting herself go with the flow if immediate answers and explanations are out of her grasp for now.

[It's nothing too complicated, simply that a quiet town with magical shenanigans seems much more her type of thing than a busy port. But she'll see it when they get there - for now, it's time to walk.]

[Points out to a place up ahead on the road, not perfectly straight ahead.] We could take one of the trains, to make it faster. [Not that he minds taking their time, but they are trying to find their partners and that's a reasonable priority.]

[Looking down the path too, she seems to consider the option, her face like she's chewing over the idea. Her patented "taking it slow" methods ordinarily wouldn't worry about the speed at all either, but it's curiosity and prioritizing that does win out in the end.]

Trains... is it. [Huh.] Does seem like it would cover more ground than a cart.

[She can't help the stray thought that Fern would scold her if this method comes with more cost, but eh - she'll cross that bridge if it gets to that.]

I was thinking, "Have I perhaps grown even more handsome somehow, and so she's taken aback because of it?" [He comments, imaginary sparkles at all, as if it were a serious matter.]

But of course, one can't improve even more once you've reached the top, right? [ALREADY AS HANDSOME AS CAN BE.] So I was thinking maybe it's something else. [There, he's being a silly - you can be a silly right back, or actually chat with him. Whichever's more comfortable.]

It's possible. Not knowing how far the influence beyond this place reaches...

[There's something frustrating in the midst of what is a strangely nice feeling. Sitting here, with him, close again. She feels torn between keeping quiet and all to herself versus spilling everything to him all at once.] I worry that I'll say the wrong thing.

That it could mean harm to [you, to their friends, to the place they protected together] everything if I did.

Perhaps if you had more time, it'd be easier to tell how far that influence might go. [Or how important or not it might be. Or even if it's too difficult to keep it to yourself and you'll want to prioritize sharing it and deal with the consequences.]
