Alfred? I'd appreciate it if you'd give me a warning the next time you decide to pluck me out of school and randomly drop me in an unfamiliar apartment complex.

This is a bit odd, even for me. I figured I'd have enjoyed my time off for Halloween and go back to work at the Times afterward. But for some reason, it seems that I don't have a job there. Even though I know for a fact that I've been working there for more than just a couple years.

I'd think my boss would have recognized me. Then again, some of the workers there do look a bit younger than how I remembered them. Time travel, maybe? I had not thought it was possible. Maybe the rift had something to do with this, I don't know.

Oh dear God.
