For once, the Great Hall was left alone. Decorations having already been hung all over the castle by residents at the beginning of the month, all that needed to be added was a few tables. One was added in the hallway just outside the Great Hall, and another in each of the four common rooms. Armed with the knowledge that Delphine was going to spike the punch (no alcohol) and the champagne with a potion the moment he offered it for free, Ernie enlisted Regulus's help and spiked them himself, with something more pleasant and far less destructive than anything Delphine would've used.
The punch was spiked with Dr Ubbly’s Oblivious Unction, which heals the drinker of wounds inflicted by thoughts. Effects last up to 8 hours per cup.
The champagne was spiked with the Elixir to Induce Euphoria, which “induces a sense of inexplicable, irrational happiness” and a tendency towards extreme friendliness. Effects last 4 hours for every flute.
The common rooms were opened to all, each equipped with a jukebox and a table covered in cups and glasses, punch and champagne bottles.
