An expedition.
Who: Evan and Eli (open to random passerbys, if you'd like to join!)
What: A mission to explore the hotel.
Where: The lobby, to start. From there it's a mystery.
When: Mid-dayish.
Warnings: Porn. The scary kind. Kidding. Innocent as pie, other than language, most likely.
A good thirty seconds passed after Evan closed her computer before she realized she'd agreed to meet with a total stranger and explore the new apartment complex. "Oh, crap--!" She'd said five minutes, and that was four minutes ago -- and she still wasn't wearing pants. Force of habit, really: she'd spent all twenty of her years alive being in her dad's house, and while he was free to roam about with a t-shirt and boxers on (and usually holding a PBR), Evan stayed fully clothed at all times, even when she was in her bedroom. No locks on those doors; Bill Greer couldn't stand the thought of his own daughter keeping him out of her room. Not to mention he didn't trust the boys in town to respect his rules and not squire her away some dark autumn night. It was only on nights that he was off hunting or fishing that she was ever allowed to walk around in her skivvies. Now that she'd moved away, it only made sense that she'd spent the entire day so far in a faded navy blue t-shirt and underwear. But, considering how first impressions were usually lasting ones, Evan was quickly unzipping her over-stuffed duffel, and the sky rained clothing as she tore through the highest layers of shirts and dresses to find a pair of well-worn denim shorts. Scrambling to her feet with one leg already pulled up, Evan gave a little wiggle to her hips while slipping her feet into dusty sneakers, fastened the button, and headed out of the door.
One good thing about living on the first floor: she didn't have to wait for the elevator. And if there was a fire? She'd be the first to safety. An earthquake ... well, okay, they'd all be screwed if that happened, but she liked to think being on the bottom floor meant she had a higher chance of survival. Another good thing? She wasn't actually going to be late to this entirely short-noticed rendezvous. Rubber soles kept a good pace against the absurdly nice tile leading into the lobby, blue eyes scanning the swanky meeting place for --
Oh, crap. Oh crap. She didn't even know what this guy really looked like. Wasn't this how stories began? She shouldn't have spoken to a stranger on the internet. She was such a nice girl. Not too bright, obviously. Her dad must be pretty embarrassed that his only daughter-- Okay, enough of that. This was going to be fine. Fun, even. Oh, shit -- she'd forgotten the flashlight. That was just a joke anyway, right? Psh. Deep breath, crazy. What are you so worried about? Running a hand back and forth through her chopped-short blonde hair, Evan made her way to the donut-shaped sofa in the center of the room, sitting with with an oomph.
