The second the heavy door opened, Evan was fighting the urge to take a step back, if not turn tail completely and make a break for the elevator. Looking behind her, she saw that the doors had already closed; the lift was, no doubt, heading back down to the lobby. Crap. Looking to the older gentleman, eyes big as tennis balls, Evan blurted a quick, "Nope!" A pause, as she cleared her throat to stifle a nervous giggle. "I mean, yes, sir, maybe you could help us." Looking from Eli to the Tower Keeper, trying to look penitent when she felt like she could burst from nervously embarrassed giggles, Evan managed to keep it together long enough to offer a, "Sorry, we didn't know anyone lived up here, and we were curious about the view." Shuffle, cough to cover a giggle, shuffle.
