They weren't in the bedroom for very long, just passing through, because Pierce opened the hidden door and waited for them to go on. Check out that view! Hopefully no one suffered from vertigo. As promised, it was a long way down but being up here really was like hanging out in a cloud or, at night, touching the stars.
"How do I leave? Well, I take the stairs down," Pierce laughed, patting his pockets for the cigarette pack he had. Hopefully they wouldn't mind if he took a smoke break, and since they were on the balcony, well, that was where he usually smoked anyway. "If you're allergic, tell me and I'll put it out," he said as he flicked the lighter on and set the end of the cigarette aflame. "I live in my office too, so that helps. But I've been here a couple of weeks. My son lives on the first floor so it's a bit of a family reunion."
