There was something about No Mister, Just Pierce that Evan liked quite a bit. Maybe it was his quiet confidence, or the fact that he seemed to know something she didn't. He had a good couple of decades on her, so it made sense that he'd sound wise, but still. It was nice, in a mildly intimidating way. "Next time, we'll call first. And you can really only barge into someone's apartment without knowing them once so ..."
Quirking a grin, she looked to Eli because Kim's not lazy she's awesome and I tossed Eli back in so if Kim's lazy then Cassie's needy ;D with widened eyes. "I forgot about the pool." She'd spent a good amount of time at the community back home, but this would be the closest she'd ever had to having one of her own. "We should go swimming some time!" This addressed to Eli and Pierce, which was actually a bit strange, so she went back to enthusiastically sipping her tea.
After a hot second, Evan looked to the door, took a short breath and ventured, "You're probably in the middle of something -- or were, before we showed up -- so ... we should probably get out of your hair, huh?" She was giving the gentleman a way out in hopes of avoiding an awkward throat clearing and request for them to scram. Also, it'd allow her to stop putting her foot near or in her mouth. Which was good!
