Who: Lisa, Alessa
What: An accidental meeting
When: Early afternoon
Where: A magic shop
Rating: Probably low.
Lisa walked into the magic shop she had discovered. She had done some research and discovered that unlike most places, this was a real magic shop. For someone with less than noble intentions, that might be a dangerous proposition. However, this was what Lisa wanted. She didn't want to be helpless and dependent on anyone else to stay safe. She wanted to be able to defend herself. And she figured this was the first step. There were a lot of things in L.A. that weren't the regular threats on the street, and with all these demons and vampires going around, Lisa figured she could take the time to learn some magic, so she could pull it out in an emergency.
There were rows and rows of shelves, all lined with 'magical' trinkets and dubious looking items. It looked strange. Lisa had honestly never been in a place like this before. She didn't know what she was looking for, really. Spell books? Potions that would disintegrate an enemy instantly? What was the standard for real magic use in reality? She roamed through the aisles in a sort of mystified state, bewildered by all the selections here. The store was small, but to someone unfamiliar with these things, it was easy to get lost in the descriptions and macabre appearances of some items.
It wasn't long before some items caught her attention. She wasn't looking to purchase them, but they were intriguing, to say the least. She supposed she should just ask the person up front for help, but how did you explain to someone that you wanted to learn real magic and cast real spells? She supposed anyone who came into these type of stores was probably already an expert, or at least an amateur with some knowledge when it came to magic. Engrossed in what she was looking at, she wasn't aware of anyone else wandering about in the aisles, possibly looking at items to purchase, or possibly observing her while pretending to shop.
