She'd almost forgotten how bright it was, how intense it was, her memories had not done her Grace justice. Of course it hurt, if it hurt being pulled out, it would hurt going back in. A white, hot burn that filled her from her core, and spilled out, until pure energy and creation was shining through her eyes. "Close your eyes!" she warned, one last time, before the burst forth, taking Alaistair along with it, leaving Castiel, Uriel, Ruby, and the Winchesters safe.
What she expected was to find herself back in Heaven, getting orders, or getting yelled at. Her Father was mad at her, but she didn't think He would kill her now, not that her Grace was back. But as the light faded from her eyes, she wasn't in Heaven, she wasn't home. In fact, she wasn't anywhere near where she should be. As the light faded, she found herself standing on a dark rooftop.
It was wrong, it was all wrong. She wasn't supposed to be here. Her breathing quickened as she looked around, staring at the many taller buildings that towered over the one she was standing on. If she wasn't back, where were the others? Where was Dean? Sam? The Angels? What was happening? When she became aware that there was something in her hand, she held it up, staring at the object. The tiny vial, still holding the radiance of her grace was in her hands. But hadn't she smashed it? Confused, she clutched her Grace tightly, holding her hand against her chest.
Moving toward the edge of the building, she peered the three stories down to the ground below. The street was almost empty, just a group of teenagers walking down the sidewalk, some stumbling, shouting, and mostly just having fun. Drunk, way too young, but enjoying it. Smiling, she shook her head and turned to look around. Anna had no idea where she was, but it would only be a matter of time until the Angels found her. She had her Grace, but if she could avoid them, and not have to go back, wouldn't that be better?
Stepping away from the ledge, she went to look for a way down, and then hopefully she could find a safe place to hide.
But the first thing she found was a internet cafe. Which got her more answers than she ever thought she would get. Slightly shocked, and a little confused, Anna came out of the cafe a little while later.
Alcohol and a place to hide. Tugging her thin jacket around her, she tucked her Grace under her shirt, and started down the street toward a corner store she saw close by. She would just have to avoid the chocolate. Pity.
