Lilith wasn’t swayed by this. “How can I leave you alone with that creature chasing you?” she asked. “They are after everyone who will cross their paths, dear. I cannot… leave you alone when I offered to take you to safety.” She bit her bottom lip and knew the demon was getting closer.
She made her mind, to avoid less bloodshed; she silently prayed to be forgiven for her actions. Lilith stopped abruptly and turned to face the demon. “Keep running!” she exclaimed, “Don’t turn back. The main street is not so far on a straight line. The cafe is just across the street.” Don’t turn back. I implore you.
