There was absolutely no reason for Peter to be isolating himself in his office like he was. Well, there was a good reason, but Sarah being away was reason enough to be sad but not to not talking to anyone else. Gabriel was well versed in playing hermit, and a lot of people had worked to make sure that he didn't completely crumble in on himself when he was feeling mopey. He figured it was about time that he repaid the favor. He'd packed away all of the things at the front desk in case this took longer than was left on his shift at the front desk. Slipping over to Peter's office, Gabriel knocked on the door, only realizing after doing so that he didn't have a decent reason for why he wanted to talk to Peter. Flipping through his list of things that he had wanted to talk to Peter about, Gabriel, suddenly under pressure, was coming up empty. There had been so many things! He just needed one, one. Dammit, why couldn't he think of anything?
He worked to push the momentary panic out of his eyes as he turned back to the door, a smile on his face as he waited for Peter to answer. He could always just make something up off the cuff if he had to. And it was starting to look like he would have to. Anyways, it wasn't like the issue was really going to be the center of their focus. It was just an excuse to get Peter to talk to someone and have the opportunity to try and persuade him to get out and relax for awhile.
