Gabriel briefly wondered if it would do any good about suggesting that Peter leave these issues to the people that actually knew what they were dealing with without having to keep their nose buried in books to try and familiarize themselves with all of the details. There was enough around here that needed fixing, enough that they were even still grasping for ways to answer, and a lot of things that could possibly end badly for everyone. Stepping into the room, closing the door behind him, Gabriel paused briefly as he winced, raising a hand to touch the side of his head.
That buzzing was back. It was always amazingly strong with Peter, and where he could ignore it with most everyone else, it was like a building urgency in the back of his mind whenever he got too close to Peter. But, like always, Gabriel swallowed it down, pressing it back, and working to dull it out as he looked over at Peter.
"You, actually. Except instead of up, you're rather solidly down," Gabriel said, slipping his hands into his pockets. Excuses or not, in the end, the truth was the best path to take. "You know, trying to ignore the fact that Sarah isn't around by working yourself to death isn't going to help things. It's just going to make you even more exhausted than you already are."
