"I'd appreciate it," Gabriel said quietly as he sat, his whole body slumping into the chair before he slowly lifted his head and peered over at Peter. He had been forming another apology in his mind, but the words were cleared away the second that his eyes fell upon the back of Peter's head. While looking at Peter had been a cacophony of noise before, things had suddenly clicked into place in his mind and all of that noise was gone. Instead, it was focused on a singular point.
He could understand Peter, and the key to being able to was sitting right in front of him.
His body moved almost under its own power, no thought put into the actions that he was taking. A letter opener that had been sitting on the desk was in his hand and then plunged into the back of Peter's head before there was any time to think about what was happening.
