Acheron Island

For the true adventurer, the one who doesn't mind a little bit of danger mixed with their leisure, then Acheron Island is a must. It was one of the few islands to not be named with a heavenly word, but instead after the river that forms the border of Hell. The reason? There are only a couple of beaches near Acheron, but you have to get past the jagged rocks and reefs that protect it.

The island is also a major egg-laying ground for the Pala Sea Snake, which is extremely venomous, and once a year, they all hatch over a week-long period, and on their way out to see, the island crawls with them. The snake isn't the only reptile on the island. It's also a popular spot for turtles and iguanas, too.

Out of all the other islands, the it has the most treacherous plant-life, too. Lantana, which produces dark-colored berries starting in September, is actually fatal if eaten. There is also cowitch, a vine-line plant will cause skin rashes and blindness if it comes in contact with the eyes.

But, the island is very beautiful. It receives the most rainfall out of the other islands for some reason, so streams are always plentiful, waterfalls are always flowing. The island is mostly limestone, so there are plenty of caves to explore, both above ground and underwater. Just make sure the one you go into isn't a snake-pit...
