Roy Miller, the Doctor will see you now...

Characters: Roy Miller, Martha Jones
Rating: PG-13
Trigger Warnings: None yet, maybe medically things
Location:  Hospital
Day and Time: July 4th, late morning after this call
Status: PM to Join

He had his breakfast, just toast and coffee, changed into clean clothes and headed across town to the hospital where he'd first woken up. He gets a better look around, catching sight of the Neon Sign that read Fangtastic, placing that landmark in his mind. He coudln't believe he'd missed it, it looked like a redneck bar with a cheesy neon sign over the door and everything. He had to grin, Harmony was right. But why would a vampire run a place that low-brow? Not that he knew the first thing about vampires.

He hopped up the steps, light on his feet as he pushed open the door to the hospital and stepped inside. "Doctor Jones, I'm here for my check up!" he called out loud, pushing his hand into his pocket while he idled inside, waiting for her to appear.

Leave things long enough, they'll always come to a head...

Characters: Jack Harkness and Ianto Jones
Rating: R for language
Trigger Warnings: None anticipated
Location: Jack and Ianto’s cottage (3W)
Day and Time: Monday 4 July, late evening
Status: Closed Completed

Things were beyond tense at home, so Jack spent as much time as humanly possible out of the house. Today, he’d occupied himself working on the office building he’d been fitting up as the new jailhouse, and when he was done there, in the evening, he’d gone on to work on the playroom he was setting up in the basement of a smaller building opposite the back of Fangtastic. He'd spent the evening moving a dismantled bedframe into his basement (with the help of a trolley from the supermarket) and putting it back together again – single-handedly, because there was no way he was asking Ianto for help and he was reluctant to ask Eric either, since Eric had so much work of his own to do on Fangtastic. And also because if he did it all himself, he could call it his room and make it suitable to bring back people other than Eric too.

Not that there seemed to be many people other than Eric to bring anywhere at the moment. A lot of the people he might have thought of bringing there had vanished in recent weeks and most of the newcomers he was aware of seemed everso young.

Still, it felt good to be creating his own personal space somewhere. Even if it did make it harder, at the end of the evening – tired from the physical exertion and pissed off at Ike for the loss of everything he'd had at the last place – to head back home to the space that wasn't his any more.

"Hi honey, I'm home," he called as he walked in the door of the cottage and hung up his coat, his tone superficially light but there was real mockery of their domestic situation beneath it. They were still being overly polite to each other and refusing to talk about how they really felt. Well, Jack was, at any rate. He suspected Ianto would be happier to 'talk' than he was, and that made him all the more determined not to let himself be drawn into it.

There were some things Captain Jack Harkness just didn't know how to face.

The Start of a New Adventure

Characters: Peter Pan and Eva Nix
Rating: PG
Trigger Warnings: Politically INcorrect language. The book was written in the late 1800s/early 1900s.
Location: Town Square
Day and Time: July 2nd, morning
Status: Open to one other.

Peter swung his sword with battle lust in his eyes when suddenly they all heard the sound of battle up above. Pirates against redskins it sounded like. Everyone stood quiet waiting for a signal. Any signal.

The tom-tom sounded. “An Indian Victory!” Peter cried.

The boys said goodbye. John and Micheal said goodbye. Wendy even made him promise to take his medicine. But Peter laughed them off. What did he care if they wanted to find their mothers. He danced and played his pipes and fairly ignored them as they wriggled up their trees.

Peter continued dancing well after they left him. And then, Peter fell asleep.

He woke up after some terrifying nightmares of mothers and Captains. But when he looked up… that wasn't a tree ceiling. Pan looked left and right. No, those were walls. Like what Wendy had.

"Why did you bring me? I don't want to grow up!" he shouted. But no one answered. Cautiously, Peter tiptoed out of the bed and across the floor to the window. There were mountains. This was not good. Picking up his sword, Peter flew out the open window, missing the envelope with the phone and the note and the key entirely.

...

It was only a matter of time before a very confused, and for one of the few times of his life, a very scared Peter Pan alighted in the middle of the town square. He looked around once more before his chin started to wobble. And then he sat down and cried.

Someone Who Cares

Characters: Vriska Serket, John Egbert
Rating: PG-13
Trigger Warnings: Blood/injuries
Location: South Road
Day and Time: Wednesday June 29th, 2:00 AM
Status: Complete

Vriska went along the road towards her cabin, preferring to walk rather than fly among the tree branches and risk hitting one of her many little injuries. A good portion of her body was covered in bruises, bites, and other small wounds, focused most around her mouth, neck, and...other places. Unfortunately, Aradia hadn't quite been in the mood to share her bandages and such this time, so Vriska would have to scrounge something up in her own hive. As she walked by John's hive, she stepped on a branch in the road, and it let out a loud snap. She scowled down at it. Humans slept during the night, right? She hoped it wouldn't wake anyone up...urgh, she just wanted to get home and try to find some nerve-deadening medication capsules...

Day and Time: July 2nd, late morning

They needed to go restock.

Yep. That was Derreck's first thought that morning upon waking up and walking into the kitchen. They needed stuff the kitchen, for the bar and he needed things for the clinic.

With a huff he went and dressed before heading out, ears and tail twitching slightly in annoyance. How could they let their kitchen get so empty!

Town Meeting

Characters: Everyone
Rating: R for possible language
Trigger Warnings: None at the moment
Location: Town Square
Day and Time: July 1st, beginning fifteen minutes before actual sunset. Lasting until 8 PM (Thinking sunset is at 6 PM)
Status: Open to everyone

Anyone looking at the square would not suspect anything close to a meeting happening. All day the square remained empty. No chairs. No tables. Nothing to look like a meeting. And then, 15 minutes before sunset, there were suddenly rows of chairs and a small stage with a table set up. At the table sat Ike and Chuck. Ike looked quite imposing looking out over the the empty set up, gavel in front of him. Chuck on the other hand had a mess of papers that he kept dropping and having to pick up.

Neither man seemed willing to talk or respond to anyone wishing to talk to them at the moment.

[OOC Introductions will go up first. We'll get topic number 1 going tonight when I get home from work at 6 PM CST]

Characters: Tavros Nitram, John Egbert, Ramie Wadmal, Vriska Serket
Rating: PG-13 for potential swearing
Trigger Warnings: None, will update accordingly
Location: Outside cabin 1S
Day and Time: June 29, Early evening, around sunset
Status: Open to multiple characters, seperate threads please

Tavros had settled in pretty well, once he let himself do it. He'd put some thought to it, and he liked his cabin and maybe this place would stick? And if it was going to stick, he might as well make the most of it. So he'd put some thought into what would be the best way to make the most of it and decided that he wanted some animals around. He'd had animals around back home and they were pretty amazing things to have around.

First he'd set up a little house for some cluckbeasts and then he would get some woolbeasts and some hoofbeasts and all sorts of useful beasts! And they would be his friends until someone killed them and ate them! And then he'd get more friends!

So he'd gotten some supplies to make the cluckbeast house, including that special wire that held them inside and also some wood to construct the thing with.

And though he really knew nothing about building things like cluckbeast houses...or where he was going to get the cluckbeasts to live there, he began setting up the materials on the lawnring near his house, humming Alternian grub-songs to himself as he worked.

...how do I supermarket???

Characters: John Egbert and Open
Rating: G - will change if needs be
Trigger Warnings: none as yet
Location: the supermarket
Day and Time: Tuesday, June 28th, midafternoon
Status: Open to any (separate threads for each character, please)

I can totally handle this! John thought to himself. It's only grocery shopping! I mean, Dad does this every week, how hard could it be?

Of course, that was before John had actually gotten to the supermarket and was faced with the realization that Oh my god, this is a thing I have to do. This is a real thing. This isn't like the Game! He had fought ogres, and imps, and Denizens. He had commanded wind, he had killed things with hammers!

But for some reason, the thought of being in a supermarket, of actually going grocery shopping, was scaring him worse than even the scariest ogre! The reality that he was living all by himself, that there wasn't a Dad to help him, that he had to budget and do his own cleaning and cooking and he was only 13 years old was beginning to hit him.

What would happen when he got sick? What would happen if he got hurt? He wasn't in the Game anymore, he didn't think he'd heal the same way. He happened to be by the First Aid section and he picked up some Band-Aids and some Bactine. It didn't make him feel any better.

He couldn't live on Gushers, really, that was just stupid and plus, the Batterwitch had her fingers in those anyway.

He let out a small, nervous little giggle and began to worry his lower lip with his teeth.

It's hard, growing up. It's hard, and no one understands.

[info]wraith_7

Characters: Ton Phanan, Martha Jones
Rating: PG for now
Trigger Warnings: Discussion of mutual trauma also Phanan sarcasm?
Location: Paco and Awanata doctors office apartments
Day and Time: Tuesday. June 28, middle of the night
Status: Closed, PM to join

One of the lucky benefits of the head injury that had resulted in the cybernetic face was just enough brain damage to keep Phanan from remembering the event. The obvious drawback here was that nightmares were just vague, fiery messes that made no sense at all and just sort of hurt. He liked to pretend he did not really notice the metal parts, or that he did not really care and most days that was more or less true. And on the bad days, the days it wasn't true he would just force on a smile, and let his sarcasm become a bit more bitter than normal and that would be that. And sometimes, on days like today, he'd just have nightmares anyway even though everything had been fine.

His remaining eye snapped open as he finally dragged himself out of it, lying frozen in bed for a long moment, suddenly, infinitely away of every piece of technology welded to his body. He imagined he could feel every wire racing up to connect to a tendon, ever circuit replacing brain cells, every bit of electricity that had replaced muscle function. It was a horrifying feeling, incredibly disconcerting and for a moment he thought he was going to be sick.

Instead he sat up slowly, hating that he had done this so many times now and was still terrible at dealing with it. The cool air struck the bare, sweat-soaked skin of his chest and he shivered, running a shaky hand through his hair and trying to avoid contacting any bits of metal. Vaguely he wondered if he had been screaming. His throat certainly hurt enough for it. Oh, that was nice. He did not bother turning on the light, and the eery red glow of his robotic eye did little to penetrate the darkness.

Cancer Face: You are the weakest link. Goodbye!

Characters: Eric, Wade
Rating: NC-17, immediate violence
Trigger Warnings: Superhuman violence, blood, knives, rage, super-angry vampire, invulnerability, torture
Location: Eric/Wade's house
Day and Time: Tuesday, June 28, after this video.
Status: Finished

Wade was asking for it. They'd come to blows, and like men, agreed to settle their differences and co-habitate without comment.
And then, Wade had to go ahead and comment. Eric didn't bother him, he just went about his business without intruding into the callous, ugly, flappy-gummed weirdo's life in any way. And then, he was INSULTED by a video claiming he was a horrible house mate?

This was UNCALLED FOR.

Eric turned his phone into sleep mode and growled, resisting the urge to throw the plastic and metal object across the basement. He stood stock still in the middle of the room for maybe 10 minutes before he made his way upstairs. "Wade" he said, loud enough to be heard throughout the house. "Kitchen. NOW"

Characters: Vriska Serket and Aradia Megido
Rating: PG-13
Trigger Warnings: Swearing, blood, a little violence
Location: Roof of the apartment building
Day and Time: Tuesday June 28th, around midnight
Status: Complete

Vriska sat near the edge of the roof, curled up with her arms around her knees. It was pleasantly dark for most of the night, with the mountains blocking the moon from view, and only now was moonlight beginning to spread over the valley.

It was strange being here. Living here felt both more and less like home, and the loss of the castle that was so much like her old hive back on Alternia was a less-than-welcome change. The mountains here were very different from the ones she'd grown up looking at, too...these ones, blocking out so much of the horizon and the sky, just made Vriska feel trapped. The troll girl unconsciously bared her fangs a bit as she looked out over the town.

Improvements to the Hospital

Characters: Martha Jones and Fend
Rating: PG in case of swearing
Trigger Warnings: None
Location: Hospital
Day and Time: Saturday, June 25, morning
Status: Closed

The rest of the hospital was already put together. And functioning very well. There was even enough room in the office for her and Phanan to have their own desks though she had yet to see Phanan at his. She also had moved the filing cabinet around and found all of the blank patient files so she could get all of that squared away. She'd even gone ahead and put down names of everyone she had met here so far and alphabetized them.

The only thing left to do was fix the electric. And all that was was making sure the connections for all the different buttons worked. Especially the small boxes by the doors and connected to each bed that would call the doctors from other areas whether it be other rooms on this floor or their apartments up above.

Martha was sure there was someone around more knowledgable in electronics than she was, so a call had been made. Fend... little timid Fend who she had met at a bad time in her life... had responded. And Martha invited him over. Now she just had to wait. She made her way out to the porch and sat on one of the two chairs that she'd put out there.

Intrusive Background Check

Characters: Eric and Ianto
Rating: PG
Trigger Warnings: None yet
Location: Jack/Ianto's house
Day and Time: Monday 27 June, dusk, during Jack's meeting.
Status: Pm to Join

Eric had gotten the call, just like everyone, and he was aware of the meeting Jack was going to hold.

This presented a perfect opportunity. He would go knock on Jack's door, while Jack would be elsewhere, and see if anyone answered. If they answered, they were not psychic and Eric could ... insinuate himself upon Jack's unknown lover without any problems. If no one answered, they WERE psychically gifted and would be at the meeting. If the latter was the case, he could simply skulk beyond the range of vision of the meeting and listen in to try and spot the 'competition'.

Either way, Eric would have the upper hand, and would be empowered by the knowledge. Knowledge he could then use against Jack at a later day.

A perfect opportunity. So, dressing in one of his very tight jeans and a snug fitting muscle shirt, he made himself presentable (which wasn't hard), sneered at Wade on the way out, and headed for the house next door. He took a sniff of the perimeter, and then knocked, holding his hands in front of his hips quietly, and waited.

Tonight was going to be fun.

Laundry day

Characters: Harmony Kendall and Roy Miller
Rating: PG for now
Trigger Warnings: Possible vampire stuff
Location: The apartment building's basement laundromat
Day and Time: Saturday 25 June, afternoon
Status: PM to join Completed

Harmony was doing her laundry. Only a small proportion of the wardrobe of clothes she'd built up at the castle had come through with her to her new apartment, which was a nightmare, because the only clothes store in town was the supermarket and that only had a couple of rows of clothes that Harmony wouldn't be seen dead in. Or undead. Whatever. Anyway, she'd run out of smalls and decided that if she was going to have to spend time in that disgusting laundry room in the basement, she might as well wash everything. Well, everything she could. What she was going to do with the things that needed dry-cleaning, she had no idea!

She'd spent the duration of the washing cycle hanging around in the laundromat, because those were pretty much her only clothes and she'd have to go naked if someone stole them, and, since she had to be there anyway, she'd had a half-hearted go at clearing up some of the rubbish cluttering up the room, mainly because sitting there staring at it had been even more depressing than trying to do something about it. By the time the machine pinged its completion, all the rubbish was at least in a pile in the darkest corner of the room. Humming with satisfaction, Harmony unloaded her laundry and bunged most of it into one of the driers, then began to peg up her lacey underwear (too delicate for a great galumphing drier like that!) on the line she'd carefully cleaned and then hooked back up again across the end of the room.

Meeting in the Square

Characters: Jack Harkness, Eva Nix, Marco Lancaster, Bridget Frostheart, Vriska Serket, Saetan SaDiablo, Daemon Sadi, Devon Harkness-Hart, Gray Smith, the Doctor
Rating: PG
Trigger Warnings: None anticipated
Location: Town Square
Day and Time: Monday 27 June, 10.00 pm (as arranged in Jack’s UT on the 24th)
Status: Open to any and all (in one thread please, unless you want to branch off from the main thread to have a private conversation)

Jack had had some interesting replies to his transmission and was feeling unexpectedly excited as he made his way to the village square in plenty of time for the arranged ten pm start of the meeting.

He settled himself against the wall of the supermarket, half sitting on the low, narrow window sill, and waited for people to turn up, trying not to get his hopes up that this time, they might actually manage something!

Characters: Kroton
Rating: PG - will update should things change.
Trigger Warnings: Possible violence? Will update if there are additions.
Location: Town square.
Day and Time: June 27, early morning. (Date changed for accommodations.)
Status: Open to multiple characters.

--

Kroton felt that little boost of energy through his mechanics that signalled the end of his recharge cycle. His optical receivers turned on, with his computer-brain expecting the same room he had stayed in for the last couple of months aboard the Doctor's TARDIS. What he actually saw was just the opposite of the cozy, dimly-lit room. It was a room more reminiscent of the small hut he lived in on the tropical planet. The room had a few small planters of wildly coloured flowers, curtains weaved from palms, and sandy-orange walls. He lifted himself off the bed and scanned the room - a small piece of paper caught his interest immediately.

"Oh great," he blurted, picking up the key and setting the note back in its place. If only Cybermen could roll their eyes.

He made sure to note the number on the door on his way out of the room, and made his way down the the ground floor, and out into the town. Hopefully someone out there knew what was going on.

And hopefully this was one of the few remaining planets that the Cybermen hadn't caused trouble on.

Taking the Night Air

Characters: Basil Hallward, Martha Jones
Rating: PG-13, tops
Trigger Warnings: None at the moment
Location: Center of town, near the apartment block.
Day and Time: June 23rd, sunset and shortly after
Status: Open to multiple; start seperate threads please.

Basil had his little flat to himself for the moment, with Gray and Marco settling themselves in their own quarters. Giving themselves a little breathing room until they could sort things out for themselves.

However, he didn't stay indoors long, feeling restless and trapped in the uninspired and gloomy apartment. So he took up an overcoat that he found hanging in the closet and went down to have a look around town.

Characters: Tavros Nitram, Aradia Megido
Rating: PG-13 for possible potty mouth, will update accordingly
Trigger Warnings: None that I can think of?
Location: Outside of his cabin
Day and Time: Sunday Jun3 26, evening
Status: Open

Tavros hadn't liked the Change. He had just gotten all used to the Castle, then he woke up in a place that wasn't his pretty pink room and he'd really liked his pretty pink room and now it was just an ordinary hive and oh he didn't like change at all.

So he'd been sleeping, mostly. Sleeping, he found, was the best way to ignore things that were happening, he'd always found. Sleeping was the ultimate tool of avoidance and Tavros was well practiced in it. So, whenever he woke up, he would check to see that he was still in the not-pretty-pink-castle-room, and then sink back into his recuperacoon and sleep for a while longer.

But, finally, he woke up and though he still wanted to avoid his current situation, a more current situation was brewing that he couldn't ignore. He was hungry. So he dragged himself out, washed himself off, got himself dressed and ventured outside.

And then it occurred to him that he didn't have the slightest clue where to go and so he just sighed and scowled and sat on the ground outside his cabin. This not-castle-place was dumb. It was dumb and he didn't like it.

Characters: Nunnally, open
Rating: PG-13
Trigger Warnings: Mentions of imprisonment, war, and death
Location: First floor apartment 101, Wonunican Valley
Day and Time: Wednesday 23 June, around sunrise
Status: Aimed at Isaack, but open

Blood.

There was so much of it around her.

Nunnally had known the smell of it for so long without really understanding it, the smell of a dead body, it was crashing down around her. Her mother's dead arms around her as her legs burned and died, the smell of corpses rotting in the sun while she was barely older than a toddler... they mixed with the blank walls of the solitary confinement that threatened to drive her mad and the parade of shame. The time that stretched in her dreams when she knew what as about to happen but she was unable to do anything, much less turn away from what she knew was about to happen. Zero would kill her brother and open the world from the cycle of hate, but at the same time she would lose the last person she cared about. Suzaku could only be Zero now, not her beloved friend and confidante, Lelouch would die in her arms and leave her hands stained with his blood... Nobody was left, just the blood that was welling up and slowly drawing her down into madness...

Nunnally was screaming when she fell off the edge of the bed, but it didn't do much to stop her. She curled inwards and became a tangled mess of limbs and sweat-soaked teen girl sobbing uncontrollably into her arms. The smell of blood from her dreams was mingling into the rosy hue of the sun's eminent break over the horizon to send the young empress into a cycle of hysterics.

Characters: Harmony Kendall, Marco Lancaster
Rating: PG for now
Trigger Warnings: Possible vampire stuff
Location: Awenasa Apartments, first floor common room area
Day and Time: Saturday 25 June, afternoon
Status: PM to join

Harmony had taken to heart Eric's instructions to find lovers who'd be willing to let her feed on them, to supplement the True Blood that was available in the supermarket but at quite a ridiculous price. She was perfectly happy to supplement with pig's blood herself (even if it did go straight to her hips) but she also wanted to please Eric. Basically, she wanted to be able to report progress in that area.

Not to mention that the days were everso long at the moment and she didn't intend to spend every minute of them working on getting Fangtastic up and running again for Eric! A girl had to have some fun, didn't she?

Of course, the fact that she spent most of the nights working with Eric meant that most of her searching for new lovers had to be done during the day, which was a little restrictive. Not that there was a massive choice of places to pick up new lovers. Fangtastic was the only bar in town and it wasn't open yet – though she had, at least, discovered that the mountains cast enough shade on the town that she could get about quite safely except for the few hours when the sun was directly overhead.

This afternoon, though, it was raining so going out would only mess up her hair. Instead, she dressed nicely, put on enough make-up to enhance her prettiness without looking out of place in the middle of the day, and wandered along to the common area on the first floor of the apartment block. There was an indoor games area there, and she amused herself for a while throwing darts at the dartboard – or at least, trying to, and cursing liberally when she missed – and hoping someone would come along that she could try to seduce. Imaging the dartboard was Spike's face somehow managed to improve her aim considerably, but just as she thought she'd got the hang of it, a badly thrown dart ricocheted off the board and whizzed off at an angle, just as she finally heard someone come in. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, are you all right?" she gabbled hurriedly, turning towards the newcomer.

Who was gorgeous and had the most fantastic bone structure but she couldn't place its gender at all.

Taking a sip from the cup of coffee he had ordered he glanced around, waiting for Captain Harkness.

Rating: For now PG (swearing)
Trigger Warnings: Swearing... mostly in Mandarin
Location: The Lake
Day and Time: June 27th Morning
Status: Closed

Mal made his way to the lake. Of course he had seen bodies of water before, but it wasn't quite the norm in his life. In fact, most of where he was involved desert and wells. Larger bodies of water were strange to him.

But there was a dock... with boats tied up to it. Mal made his way to the end and knelt down, carefully trailing his fingers through the water. Beautiful... serene. He wished they had things like this available on the border planets. But then, he wouldn't stay even if they did. The sky was his home.

Glasses Make Everything Rosy

Characters: Roy Miller
Rating: PG
Trigger Warnings: N/A
Location: Awenasa Apartment Complex
Day and time: June 24th, Friday, Afternoon
Status: Finished

There was something about sunglasses. They offered you protection. From light, from recognition, from bullet fragments. All around, just excellent products. They tinted the world, making it easier to look at.

Roy had found his room, alright. He had been able to go in alone, and search through the entire apartment. It wasn't very big, not like any hotel he was used to, but it was fine. He didn't plan to be here long. First order of business, communication out of his place. His phone was jailbroken, someone had reprogrammed it and he needed a computer to fix it. And a paperclip. Maybe a screw driver... who knew how many bugs where in this thing.

He found his clothes, at least. Not that that mattered much, Roy would wear anything. But he looked through all the pockets, including the suit he had been wearing that night is Salzburg when he'd been shot. No sign of the Zephyr. That was... not good. Worse than bad. It was a nightmare. He had no computer, no tools, nothing he could use to investigate his phone, aside from throwing it hard enough into the ground so that it would break. But this model, it wasn't that easy to break.

He took off the doctor's robe, and the hospital gown. That was first. He managed to get into a tank top, and a pair of khakis, then he stared at his closet and wondered what to do. It took a little effort, he wasn't afraid of pain, but he also didn't exactly welcome it. He managed to slip his arm into a dark denim shirt, doing the buttons up very slowly, before re-slinging his arm.

Stepping into some moccasins, which struck him as funny considering who Ike was (or what Ike was), he grabbed his phone, pushing it into his pants pocket, and headed out of his door. His wallet he'd found in his jacket, and he placed the credit card and his keys into it before pocketing that was well. Popping a pain reliever into his mouth he headed down the hallway, for the elevator, to do a little investigating now that he was properly dressed and had a better handle on the situation.

Characters: Bridget Frostheart, open
Rating: PG (for now)
Trigger Warnings: N/A
Location: Her cabin
Day and time: Saturday, 25 June, just after sunset
Status: open for multiple threads

There was a certain sound that could be made when an industrial person refused to settle on what they'd been given. The night before Bridget had been busy in another way, and that had resulted in picking up a rather nice pile of dead trees near the cottage she'd woken up in. It hadn't exactly been difficult to find them in her examinations of the valley, and now she was taking off the limbs she didn't want with a small saw. Of course she could have cheated, but there wasn't really that much time saved, and it was a good workout. Later on when the noise would be an issue, she'd move on to doing something else, but for now... So what if she was in a black dress and sleeveless tunic covered in flakes of bark and sawdust? She had a nice pile of leafless tree limbs and useful logs that was growing taller bit by bit.

Characters: John Egbert!
Rating: PG, for occasional 13-year-olds swearing
Trigger Warnings: None
Location: Around the cabins, village...just indicate where you've seen him, he'll be flying around.
Day and Time: June 26th, morning
Status: Open to All

Okay.

Okay, so this wasn't the ship.

John could tell this, mostly because it wasn't blindingly yellow. And also because there was natural sunlight pouring in through a normal (not a porthole) window.

Also because it was quiet.

When you had a boat full of sprites and consorts, there was always noise somewhere, and it had been a long time since it was quiet...wait, were those birds? Like not Dave-who-was-also-a-bird birds?

He hopped out of bed, looking around. Nope, didn't recognize this. Not at all. Was this a new level to the Game? It actually kinda looked like his room at home but without the bookshelves and his chest and the movie posters all over the place.

So, not like his room at all then. But still similar!

But yes, those were birds, and those were trees that the birds were sitting in and making noise. Whoa.

After all the things he'd seen in the Game, he was stunned because there are birds. Welp, Dave would like that sort of irony.

John walked around the small house in a daze. It was pretty nice! Not as big as the house he shared with Dad, and not as big as the ship, but big enough for just him. If, in fact, it was just him.

“Uh, hello? Anyone around? Jade? Nanna? Dave?”

When he got no answer, he sighed, and then spied the note on the table, with the phone, and the card.

“Huh. Okay, that's weird.” John wondered if this dude Ike was anything like Doc Scratch. He hoped not!

He started to chew on the end of his God Tier hoodie, and then stopped.

He wondered if he could still fly. Well, it was worth a shot!

He hurried outside, where there was already plenty of Breeze, and summoned some, lifting him up in the air.

He fistpumped. “Yessss!”

Even the Emperor of Muay Thai Buys Milk at the Grocery!

Characters: Sagat, any,
Rating: PG
Trigger Warnings: None
Location: Supermarket
Day and Time: June 26th, evening
Status: Completed

You could see him from the front of the supermarket even though he was shopping in the back in the refrigerated section. Sagat was tall. The tallest person he'd ever met, even, excepting the aboriginal brawler T Hawk, who was a whole three inches taller. Seven feet and four inches, Sagat towered over the aisles with their cans and their bags of pasta and their jugs of cooking oil.

The hulking Thai had, slung over one shoulder as if veritably weightless, a 45kg bag of jasmine rice. He was perusing the selection of juices with his one white eye, a shopping basket in his other hand. Gone were the Muay Thai boxing trunks, replaced with a nice open white track jacket with fitted half-sleeves and a pair of dark denim jeans. Even Sagat appreciated that no shoes and no shirt meant no service. He was wearing an enormous pair of trendy tan hiking boots.

Characters: Sarah Jane, open
Rating: PG
Trigger Warnings: none
Location: Somewhere down town; Sarah's lost
Day and Time: Sunday June 26, mid day
Status: OTA

Sarah had woken up in a room to some apartment complex. Funny, she didn't remember dozing off let alone suddenly being in... well, most certainly not her own bedroom. Startled, and finding some little square thing with a screen, she pocketed it as she avoided people to get outside.

Honestly, she wasn't certain why she was avoiding people, just she suddenly seemed so confused. The Doctor had left her, and granted he dropped her off not in the location she had asked for which was typical of the Doctor, but this..? It didn't even look like England!

She stood at the edge of one of the buildings, peering outwards downtown. Surely there had to be a sign somewhere, right? Where was she!?

Enter: The One-Eyed Giant

Characters: Sagat, Open
Rating: G
Trigger Warnings: None
Location: The Well in the Village Square
Day and Time: June 24th, 8am.
Status: Open

There he was, just standing in front of the pump well, a veritable giant of a man. Just shy of seven and a half feet tall, the burly Thai stood out in a place like this just as badly as he did any other place. Sagat was a stern looking man with a bald, bullet-like head and a craggy face worn with scars and time and long healed injuries. Over three hundred pounds of corded muscle and long imposing limbs, the foreigner stood there with his bare arms folded in front of him, fingers tugging at the tight wraps around his forearms and hands. Fighter's wraps. He wore no shirt, but rather only a pair of Muay Thai boxing trunks, a glossy dark blue with a yellow stripe up the side, TIGER emblazoned in yellow on the waist band. Sagat's shirtlessness left the massive scar that cut a diagonal swatch across his torso, right shoulder to left hip, on display. It was a brutal furrow that cut like a trench into his otherwise impressive upper body.

The man stared at the pump well with his one good, white eye, as if somehow it were the pivotal apex of his entire conundrum. Sagat gazed down upon that handle and spout with the full stern severity of a battle-hardened Muay Thai kickboxer. A man who had taken lives and suffered broken bones and battered flesh. There was no fear visible in him. Just a derisive sneer that bespoke of acute displeasure.

Things where not as they should be. What was this place? Was he alone here? Or had others too awoken in a bed they barely fit in a cabin in a strange if tranquil valley far away from mother Thailand and their training dojo?

He stared at the well as if he could demand from it answers, senses open, spirit questioning.

In Which Doctor Nix Has a Difficult Time of It

Characters: Eva Nix; open
Rating: PG-13, tops
Trigger Warnings:
Location: The supermarket in town, and the town in general
Day and Time: June 23rd, around 3 in the afternoon.
Status: Open! PM to jump into an existing thread, or start a new one and specify desired location in the subject line.

Eva had never seen a supermarket before, never mind one that was run entirely by automatons. Oh they had automatons where she came from, but they performed primarily novel functions such as the Wageless Butler that could dispense coffees from a copper pot in its belly and carry trays of cakes from one room to another (providing nothing was in the way) or ones that performed rudimentary dances when you gave them a coin. More useful ones ran printing presses or copied letters by mimicking strokes of a pen or the tap of a typewriter. They weren't practical and they certainly didn't do very human things like run shops. After some time watching and listening to the machines work, clicking and ticking away here and there, the excitement wore off and the vacancy and silence of the place got to her rather badly.

That was the worst thing about this place, really, the silence. It was so thick, and all consuming. For a woman who wasn't afraid of being in a graveyard at the Witching Hour, the dead stillness of the valley and the village in it made her feel sick and scared, even in the daytime. A fact which she'd not confided in her companions of the previous day, but a sensation that weighed especially heavily on her now, when she was alone. And she had already a deep anxiety over the nights here. She could hear-- she swore, though she had no proof-- the cry of wolves up in the thick blackness of the trees high above them. Of course, for all the knew she could have been caught in a waking dream. This place was altogether too much like the dreadful mountains where she had nearly died in those past years that seemed so far away now. Before she had married and lost Sterling, before she came to this awful place.

She tried to fill her basket quickly, but it was difficult to do with her limited cooking knowledge. Fortunately, she had some experience preparing meals from canned goods (for they had canned goods, though sometimes they were hit-or miss depending on the supplier in terms of freshness or what the can actually contained) on expeditions, and these seemed to also be inexpensive as well as labeled with instructions for preparation, so she was stocking up on these, primarily. And fresh fruit she could eat raw.

Where she ran into trouble was who to pay, or how. Obviously she had been given money (supposedly; she was suspicious of the intangible sums of the so-called bank card) but no idea how to use it to obtain her items. And she was too polite and ethical to just walk out of the place.

Day and Time: June 22nd, 8 or 9 am?

Derreck winced as his arm twinged and he wiggled back further into John's hold, mumbling happily as he settled. He took a deep breath in, preparing to fall back asleep when something about the scent made him frown. Sure there was that herbal scent that always permeated the air, the alluring pheromones of John that seem to cling to the bed covers and his skin, and the under tones of antiseptic but there was something more.

He opened his eyes, staring at the picture of him with Dev just after she graduated high school that shared frame space with a picture of John grinning wickedly up at the camera. The feline man lifted his head and truly took in his surrounding. "John." He called turning some. "John...Lover..wake up."

The Doctor mumbled faintly nuzzling into his pillow with a sigh. "No Romana...can't go..there." He mumbled some more and rolled, smacking his hand on the nightstand hard enough to jerk him awake. He laid there blinking, before frowning. He sniffed lightly before taking a deep breath through his mouth and sitting up. "Noooo. Can't be." He looked around taking everything in. "It can be!" He pounced up out of the bed, unheeding of his state of undress and pulled open the curtains to let in day light and to look out. He let out a joyous laugh. "This is wonderful!" He turned back to his room. "Oh look at you... You really had my tastes in mind in here." He went to the closet and grinned, dressing swiftly. He spent a while exploring his new home till Martha called then made his swift way into town.

He grinned brightly and upon reaching the square didn't a little spin. "This is fantastic!" He laughed before taking off to explore more fully.

Where's My Ship?

Characters: Mal and Jack
Rating: PG-13 for swearing
Trigger Warnings: As of yet, none
Location: Town Square
Day and Time: June 22, afternoon/evening
Status: PM to join

Mal was not a happy camper. He'd fallen asleep happy. His ship was fixed. His crew was back. They had all promised to be there when he woke up.

He had passed out again. But that was OK. Everyone would be there... except when he woke up, they weren't. He'd stretched in teh luxurious bed and realized it was too soft for the table in sickbay or even his bunk.

Slowly opening one eye, Mal had discovered he was definitely not on his ship anymore. Still injured... there were bandages on his arm and at his belly but he wasn't... home.

Mal had reached for his gun, finding the welcome packet containing the piece of plastic that apparently had money on it ($100! Holy Buddha!), the letter signed by some mysterious Ike, and the phone. All of it crude technology.

He found his clothes next and dressed quickly. Then he left the room, happy to see the door was unlocked. Mal made his way down the stairs, exploring the town silently in the shadows when the infernal phone started talking and there was a man on the other line named Jack who seemed to know more about Mal than Mal did about him. And now they were to meet in the town square.

Trigger Warnings: N/A
Location: Diner
Day and time: Friday, 24 June, noon-ish
Status: Closed

For the record, nine in the morning was too early for anyone to be contacting a man who didn't sleep until seven. Daemon would go so far as to call it cruel and unusual punishment, but hey. Whatever. It was eleven, he'd slept a grand total of four hours, and it was time to face the day. Damn.

An hour later, he was showered and dressed in his usual black slacks, and white silk shirt, but it was one of his father's sweaters that he wore over it. Overly shiny black shoes and his Jewels completed the outfit. He was protected. It would have to suffice. He wrote a quick note for Saetan, though he doubted it would be necessary, and made his way to the diner. Jack had promised coffee, after all...

This. Is so not my bedroom. :|

Characters: Wade Wilson and Eric Northman
Rating: Uh. PG-13 for language, maybe?
Trigger Warnings: None as of now
Location: Cottage 4W
Day and Time: Sunday evening, 26 June
Status: Closed

It was a dark and stormy night, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

...Just kidding. Wade didn't have a house, he had a twelfth-floor apartment in a nasty part of New York. At least, he was pretty sure that's where he lived. Which was why he was very confused to be falling through a roof into the middle of someone else's bedroom, landing right in the middle of the bed frame. No bed, just the frame. He thought it was odd, and then he didn't think at all because unconsciousness reigned supreme.

An hour later, he came to and rubbed his head as he pushed himself to his feet. Probably be a nice place, if it weren't so naked. Your mom'd be a nice place, if she weren't so naked. "Shut up. Trying to walk."

He shook his head and made his way around the place until he found himself in the kitchen. Refrigerator? Oh, what was that bottle of red stuff? Condiments or booze and he wasn't sure which -- there was no label -- so clearly the thing to do was taste it.

"Oh, that's horrible! Gross!" Probably expired, but he didn't know.

Further exploration showed the place to be empty. Well, that worked fine. He starfished out on the couch, staring at the ceiling. No clue where he was, but hey, he was almost getting used to that.

Characters: Basil Hallward, Gray Smith, Marco Lancaster
Rating: R for accidental nudity.
Trigger Warnings: See above
Location: In the apartment block, Basil's flat (410)
Day and Time: Wednesday 22 June, c. 10.00 am
Status: In-Progress; Closed
Note: Posting order will be alphabetical so Basil, Gray, Marco.

Basil could not recall sleeping so soundly in some time, and he was slow to wake, enjoying the softness of the bed, and the two lithe warm bodies he was snuggled in between--

Wait, what?

Basil was suddenly, violently awake, and aware very much that he was laying between two nude, male forms. Gray's form on one side, Marco's on the other. The lankier, larger Gray was sprawled across the shared pillows, a hand and a foot poking out from under the blankets, while Marco's small and boyish form was cuddled against Basil's side, head on the painter's shoulder. And the painter, Basil realized with horror, was also utterly naked!

He cried out in alarm, the absurdity and awkwardness of the immediate situation apparently-- momentarily-- obliterating his realization that he wasn't even in any of their beds, but rather in a modest and rather bland-looking bedroom.

"Wake up!" He squeaked, shaking Gray and then Marco by turns. "Wake up, something's happened!"

There's a vampire living next door...

Characters: Jack Harkness, Eric Northman
Rating: NC-17
Trigger Warnings: Rough sex and vampire stuff
Location: Outside Jack's cottage (3W) --> Eric's house (4W)
Day and Time: Thursday 23 June, sundown, immediately after Eric's reply to Jack's UT.
Status: Closed Finished

Message from Eric Northman:
3W? Coincidence. 4W.
Invite me in. (^,--,^)

Jack flipped his wriststrap closed and stared blankly down at it. Eric's residence was next door??? Not only was he suddenly sharing a dream cottage with Ianto, with the woman he was intrigued by next door and John two doors down the road, but the vampire he hadn't been able to stop thinking about since that incredible night several weeks ago was now living next door on the other side? What was this place trying to do to him?

He suspected someone up there was looking forward to watching him run around trying to keep all his separate conquests separate and fail miserably.

No time to think about that now, though. He'd already heard Eric knock on the door. Luckily, Ianto was out doing something investigatory (Jack suspected he was trying to catalogue the entire contents of the town or something) so no awkward questions yet, but…

He strode to the door and opened it, his heart beating a little faster but his pose incredibly casual as he folded his arms and leaned against the door jamb, smiling enigmatically at Eric.

"Now, why, exactly, would I want to do that?"

[OTA] Something Wicked This Way Comes

Characters: Daemon Sadi
Rating: PG-13
Trigger Warnings: None, at the moment
Location: The lake
Day and Time: Saturday, 25 June, evening
Status: Open to any and all~

He and Saetan had awoken Wednesday night to find that all was not as they'd gotten used to it being. Thursday, he had done his exploring to learn the lay of the land. Yesterday, he'd sent out an open-ended communication and even received replies. Today...

Well. Today, he was exploring again, but this time he was looking. Really looking -- not only with his eyes, but with his psychic senses, too. If there was anything to be found, by the Darkness, he'd find it. He started in the apartment complex, and though he didn't expect to find much there, he swept through each floor individually before moving out to the village to do the very same thing. Shops, houses -- nothing went unswept, though he was polite enough to not intrude on people's domiciles. He could do this from the outside just as well.

Then it was to the lake, the trees. Nature. There was nothing to be found anywhere, not that Daemon could find. It was frustrating. Sitting on the edge of the Dock, Daemon breathed in the cool air -- not cold, but lacking the heat that came from direct sunlight. The night-dwellers would rise soon, if they hadn't already. Well, he could wait.

Characters:  Roy Miller, Martha Jones
Rating: PG-13 for hospital stuff
Trigger Warnings: Medical gore, possibly?
Location: Hospital
Day and Time: Wednesday, June 22nd, evening
Status:  Complete

The hospital floor was quiet. It had only been a day since it existed, or since the people who had come here knew it existed. The hospital beds had been empty, the ward as still as the grave. And then, one moment later, one of the beds had a person in it. The light on the nightstand turned on, to cast an eerie glow over his handsome face. He seemed quiet, calm, asleep maybe? He was in a hospital gown, with the sheets up over his chest, his body relaxed. He had several machines attached to him, an IV drip stand, the machine that goes ping. The most expensive machine in the hospital wasn't there, but the machine that records his pulse and heart rate and vitals came to life, emitting soft flips and dings as it ran the length of his heartbeat.

He was fine. But then he wasn't, because the machine started to go haywire, emitting an alarm when his pulse lowered, and the man let out a groan of pain, his body contorting on the sheets in perfect counterpoint for the calm he had been in moments before. A blotch of red started to grow out of his shoulder, through the hospital gown. Blood.

Rating: G? I don't even know
Trigger Warnings: None
Location: Cabin 3N, Wonunican Valley
Day and Time: Wed. 22 June, around 7:30 AM
Status: closed for the moment

After closing her phone, Ramie went to see if Fend was awake yet. She should feel really strange at just being picked up and dropped somewhere completely new, but instead, she felt really excited! Nothing bad had happened to her after leaving the Arena, so she had no real worry that anything bad would happen here either. People had been really nice and kind to her and Fend and she couldn't  complain.

She walked around. The floors were wood, kind of like home, and the walls were white painted, and there was a kitchen with yellow cabinets, her very favorite color. There was another whole room just for sitting down, too, with a fireplace. It looked so comfortable and so cozy, and there was a note! She couldn't read it very well, but she'd get Fend to read it for her.

And speaking of Fend...

Ramie went back into the bedroom and peeked in to see if he was awake. Oh shoot, he was still buried under the covers! Ramie sighed and climbed up into the top bunk, crawling over with a grin on his face. "Fend... Fend, wake up, everything's different!"

It's a really good thing there are rails on the sides of the bunk...

And he had absolutely no clue whatsoever.

Ignoring that he was in jogging pants and a big t-shirt, he headed to the door and pulled it open, rushing out. And stopped. A hallway. With doors. With numbers.

Most people might have felt self-conscious sleeping snuggled up with a fluffy toy Ewok, but Phanan was so far from most people the comparison hardly even mattered. The point was he was an adult and he was sleeping with a stuffed animal and there was nothing anyone could do to change his mind.

His glowing electronic eye never shut off even when he closed the organic one but he had more or less gotten used to sleeping with it open. As he floated towards wakefulness it took him a moment or two to notice that something unusual was going on with his surroundings but the second he did he sat bolt upright, looking around him and trying to figure out if this was a situation that required lots of explosions and gunfire or if it was all an elaborate prank.

He swung his legs off the side of the bed, the organic foot feeling the cool smoothness of the hardwood floor beneath him even if the metallic, robotic one did now. (It always looked a little out of place peeking out under the hem of perfectly normal looking cotton pajama pants.) The room was undoubtedly not the one he had been in before.

Grabbing the nearest weapon (the Ewok) he headed to the door and stuck his head out into the hallway. "Hello? Anyone evil out there?"

Sunless Survival 101 - Windows are BAD.

Characters: Eric Northman, Harmony
Rating: PG-13, Bossiness
Trigger Warnings: none, yet.
Location: Eric's house, 4W
Day and Time: Wed, 22nd. Sundown, after this call
Status: Finished

Eric was alive. Well, technically he was undead. But he had a serious sun allergy. Read: Fatal. And yet, he had woken up only minutes before in a bed, in a bedroom that had windows. Windows that weren't covered by much more than frilly white curtains. How was he not dead... again?

Harmony had left a video call in the morning, many many hours prior, which meant he could have been exposed to the sun for the whole day. And yet... he felt his face, his shoulders, his arms. No, he was fine, nothing hurt, nothing was burnt. He didn't bother trying to figure out the trajectory of the windows to the bed, but he did go back into the bedroom, upstairs, and peer out of the windows to see what he could see.

Mountains. He could see incredibly tall mountains, and... not much else. Some grass, some trees, but mostly mountains. Which, considering the direction of this house... West? Is that what the W stood for? Meant that the mountains would hide the sun for the majority of the morning, leaving him unscathed. Which would explain the 'not dead again' thing.

Still, any exposure to sunlight was terrifying, so he wasn't going to let that go for much longer. Then again, he had no idea where he was, or how to get supplies, and the curtains on his windows were a joke. He scowled at them. He had left the door to his house open, well, unlocked, and was considering very strongly burrowing underground. Literally, clawing himself a ditch, and burying himself in it. As much as he hated the idea, it was a survival mechanism he could employ. Even if it was so old fashioned, it made him feel the years. He hadn't burrowed for years. What a nightmare.

Hopefully, on the way over, Harmony would get a better look at the area and have some ideas what they could do to remedy this situation. At least he still had a right hand gal, sort of. If he had come to this place totally alone, again, there would have been hell to pay. At least, if he had any say in the matter.

He was getting pretty tired of the fickle people who had taken him hostage. Pretty damn tired, indeed.

Somewhere New Again

Characters: Davesprite, Aradia Megido
Rating: PG-13 for swearing
Trigger Warnings: None
Location: 4th floor of the apartment building, Wonunican Valley
Day and Time: Wed. 22 June, around 6:30 AM
Status: Complete

Davesprite blinked blearily as he slowly came awake, pushing his bangs back from his face and rubbing his eyes. He warbled unhappily, wishing that his bird-brain didn't always wake him up before his teenager-brain was anywhere close to wakefulness. Burrowing out of his tangled nest of blankets, he groped around in the direction of his bedside table for his shades...however, the table was nowhere to be found.

Frowning and sitting up, Davesprite glanced around the room, instantly coming fully awake as he realized this was most definitely not the room he'd gone to sleep in. Grabbing his shades off a nearby table and putting them on, he floated around the room, taking in his new surroundings. It looked...sort of like his old room, the room he'd had back when he lived with Bro. But it was bigger, and there was a doorway leading to a bathroom, and a kitchenette or something in the corner. Davesprite narrowed his eyes, feeling uneasy, and wondering if Aradia and Ramie and everyone else had new rooms too...

Wait.

He flew over to an open window, his eyes widening when he saw what was outside. The castle and the forest surrounding it was gone, replaced by a view of a small town surrounded by impossibly tall mountains. He darted out the window, which was big enough for him to pass through with relative ease, and just floated there, trying to get over his surprise and unease.

Shit. Where the hell was he this time?

Day and Time: Wednesday 22 June, c. 9.00 am
Status: Open to anyone who wants to knock on their door, or join them once they've made it outside.

Jack woke slowly from a deep sleep, with Ianto in his arms, spooned in front of him. A very nice way to wake up. He’d moaned appreciatively and gently thrust his morning hard-on against Ianto’s gorgeous ass before he realised he didn’t remember going to bed with Ianto the night before.

Then he realised that the bed and the sheets didn’t feel like either his own bed or Ianto’s, and he opened his eyes with some trepidation, his heart beating fast against Ianto’s back.

They were in a room he’d never seen before. A dinky little room, with whitewashed walls and shutters at the window through which was shining bright morning sunlight. Ground floor, from the angle of it. The furniture looked like antique oak and the bedspread was a calm blue. A vase of red roses stood on the chest of drawers and through the open shutters he could see more roses framing the window.

Jack frowned, his heart beating even faster, and began to rub his hand up and down Ianto’s arm to wake him up. “Ianto, wake up,” he whispered. “Something's happened.”

It's the day after Midsummer's Day in Wonunicun Valley and some midsummer magic appears to have been at work overnight. You wake up in a room you've never seen before, yet which seems to have been decorated to your taste and which contains a few of your personal belongings. A photo of a loved one on the nightstand, your favourite weapon wherever you would normally keep it, some of your clothes in the closet.

Upon exploring further, you may find the bedroom is located within your dream cottage near the shores of a beautiful lake. You may find it's in a smart apartment in the one apartment block in the centre of the village. And you may find your bedroom is in a two-bed house or apartment and your room mate is… well, that's up to you! Is it someone you'd love to share a residence with, or is it someone who's really going to get on your nerves?

Either way, you can always move rooms/houses. Just remember to post your updated accommodation to the Housing post once you know where you're staying long-term.

(And, of course, please remember to ask the other player first if you want your character to wake up with theirs! Or post it as an open post so anyone can join in.)
