Peter swung his sword with battle lust in his eyes when suddenly they all heard the sound of battle up above. Pirates against redskins it sounded like. Everyone stood quiet waiting for a signal. Any signal.

The tom-tom sounded. “An Indian Victory!” Peter cried.

The boys said goodbye. John and Micheal said goodbye. Wendy even made him promise to take his medicine. But Peter laughed them off. What did he care if they wanted to find their mothers. He danced and played his pipes and fairly ignored them as they wriggled up their trees.

Peter continued dancing well after they left him. And then, Peter fell asleep.

He woke up after some terrifying nightmares of mothers and Captains. But when he looked up… that wasn't a tree ceiling. Pan looked left and right. No, those were walls. Like what Wendy had.

"Why did you bring me? I don't want to grow up!" he shouted. But no one answered. Cautiously, Peter tiptoed out of the bed and across the floor to the window. There were mountains. This was not good. Picking up his sword, Peter flew out the open window, missing the envelope with the phone and the note and the key entirely.

...

It was only a matter of time before a very confused, and for one of the few times of his life, a very scared Peter Pan alighted in the middle of the town square. He looked around once more before his chin started to wobble. And then he sat down and cried.
