*arrived yesterday in Sirion and was rather taken aback at how familiar it all seems, in spite of the fast food joints and supermarkets* *is very taken by the hotel on the seafront (though not as taken by it as Idril is) and is very satisfied with the security measures put in place by Rôg*
*wakes up (or is woken up by Ecthelion) good and early on the morning of the wedding, which is at noon* *indulges in a pint or two in the hotel bar to steady his nerves (and has no idea why Ecthelion is so nervous, seeing as he's not the one getting married today) (not that Tuor is nervous either, of course!)*
*finally, just before noon, is standing at the top of a makeshift aisle on the beach, enjoying the very end of the warm(-ish) autumn sunshine*
*murmuring* Now I'll allow that kilts probably weren't the best choice. Still, my skin hue must match my blue tartan, right? |

*having been kept busy by his soon-to-be father-in-law (and yet still not a household in sight), emerges to attend a very serious meeting even if the other party doesn't realise that it's very serious*
*supposes that the bar down the road from the Fountain probably doesn't seem like a location for a very serious meeting but that's where you'd be wrong*
*sits up at the bar itself and orders a pint* |

*arrives at the palace and makes his way to the main conference room for the regular senior staff meeting*
*sees he is the first to arrive and so takes his appointed place at the table to get situated and wait for the others*
*carefully lays out his notes and wishes he wrote down what he wants to say so he could just recite it and not have to look at anyone's reactions while he says it* |

*sits (stands) (paces) in the primary waiting room of Gondolin Memorial while Erestor is rushed into emergency surgery (and that means he's still alive?)*
*sits (stands) (paces) outside the building as he goes through the motions of making and taking phone calls (Fountain and Hammer and Flower)*
*sits (stands) (paces) in the waiting room again and thinks about the monster (behind bars) and then about Glorfindel (being treated and "I'll go first")*
*eventually runs out of phone calls and orders and questions for which there immediate answers, and so sits, waiting for word that Erestor has died (and that means he was still alive) or hasn't died (breathes), thinking about the sheer senselessness of Erestor's plight when everything there is to break about Gondolin can be found nowhere in the Fountain but his own head* |

*takes a walk with Eärendil down to the House of the Fountain to meet Ecthelion for lunch* *comes bearing sandwiches even if she didn't make them herself!*
*sits on the front steps and kicks off her shoes, watching smilingly as Eärendil splashes in the fountain*
*graciously turns down the Fountain staff's attempts to invite her inside (because if she doesn't go in, he'll have to come out, and it's just such a lovely day)* |

*has been spending time coming up with activities that he and Idril can do together that won't feel awkward, uncomfortable, or contrived to her but will give her a chance to get to know him (and, more importantly, like him)* *so far has "ask Turgon for help" which, all things considered, is probably a terrible idea*
*comes back from a long walk and finds a message saying Ecthelion wants to see him*
*hears he's at his House, preparing for another trip out of town* *whoa*
*goes to the House of the Fountain* |
