*is busily inspecting the balloon envelope spread out on the Long Crick Mountain Lodge's warehouse floor* *hasn't found any nicks or tears yet, but this is one of the older balloons due to be retired in the next season or so—a little extra wear won't be out of place*
*pauses and sits back on his haunches as his cellular vibrates in his pocket* *pulls the phone out and flips it open, scanning the new text message*
*snickers* *glances over at his companion* Hey, Atticus. Help me out, will you? I need a mythical figure, real or fictional, whose name starts with the letter 'I' and ends with some horrible letter like 'z' or 'x'. Something hard to springboard off of. |

It's that time of year again, the Virtuoso awards will soon be upon us, biggest event in the musical calendar and all that jazz. I know there are those who say it's just the music industry patting itself on the back, promoting business instead of music but honestly? I like them. They're fun, they celebrate talent, they're surpisingly inclusive annnnnd they give me a freebie bag every year.
So give us your thoughts on the virtuosos, who are you betting on this year? Was there anyone you think was overlooked this year? Who wuz robbed last year? Or just call in with your favourite recipes for soup, or whatever, I don't care, I'll still get my freebies.

*Considered using those airplane contraptions but couldn't bring herself to trust them, not being sure if the Kindreds were ever meant to fly (The last time Eru approved of intelligent beings flying, Manwë gave them wings, covered them in feathers and called them Eagles).*
*Reembodies outside Ilmarin and gives it an appraising look, thinking that there's more emphasis on shiny, shiny glass this time around, rather than old blue and white marble look.*
