It was quiet. Thankfully.
Loki was sat at a table of a small rooftop cafe, leaning back lazily, legs stretched out, arms draped over the sides. Sitting up on that rooftop gave Loki a chance to simply be. To think and process things. All the while, below him the world hurried to and fro, people going from place to place, living their lives, unaware, focused on their families, their jobs, their cars and groceries and television shows. Most of it meant nothing... At least to Loki. Nothing except family. It felt like such a strange and distant thing to him now. His Mother was dead, his brother thought him the same, and his Father would forever be ashamed of him. Strange, how he still thought of them as if they were his blood family. They weren't... And yet he could not stop thinking of them like that.
The sky seemed to glow, the sun setting behind the clouds. Soft white against a glimmering pale gold sky.
It almost reminded him of home. Almost but not quite. The faint smell of car exhausts and humans tinted the air. Up on this rooftop however, there were potted flowers and creeping plants. Their scents helped to mask the smell of the city and brought about a feeling of serenity. It had been a thankful discovery. Of course, he had visited some of the other parts of Preya but always found himself drawn back to the city. And in the silence, he was in a world of his own, lost in thought.
