RP: OSP household
Who: Savannah, G, Marty (anyone else in the OSP living room)
Where: their home
When: June 5, 2011
Summary: Savannah realizes that there's no time to plan a wedding
Savannah was in the kitchen, because strangely it was the one room where there were no people usually unless they wanted to grab something to drink. None of them really enjoyed cooking, so she could have peace and quiet. Not that she was trying to cook tonight. No, she was sitting at the table trying to figure out how to get a wedding organized.
She still didn't have the dress, Jenna and the bridesmaids didn't have dresses, they didn't have the tuxes. They hadn't decided on a place where to have it, and if they didn't have it in a hall, then they needed a caterer. She also hadn't taken care of her bouquet, the ones for the bridesmaids, the flowers for the church, the ones for the hall and the centerpieces. There was also the DJ, the music for the church, the favors, the jewelry that went with her clothes, the photographer, and she was sure that she was probably forgetting things that she didn't have. Oh, and they might not get the bishop's decision in time.
There were only four weekends left, and no way... no freaking way that she'd get everything done, not when something always came up. She wanted the wedding to be perfect, but she was also enough of a realist to know that she wasn't even get close to perfect. In fact, she wasn't going to get a wedding a all.
No matter how much she tried to plan, and divide the jobs by weekends, there ws no way that they would get it done. The more she thought about it, the more she felt the tears sting her eyes.
They weren't going to get married.
She knew it. She'd known it at the beginning of the evening when she'd started looking at this list. They were supposed to get her dress this weekend, but again, it didn't work out, and every weekend, there seemed to be an emergency or G was busy, or something else happened.
Why was she fighting this? Obviously it wasn't mean to be and her stubbornness was only making things worse. She looked at her hand. She really did love that ring and everything that represented, but it would never happen. She needed to accept it. With tears falling down her face, she took the ring off, and then went to the living room. She ignored everyone and the TV, but wen straight for Marty and proffered the ring. "We can't get married. There's no way to do it, no time, no-" She stopped as her voice cracked. "I'm sorry. I'm- I'm going to go and sleep at April's tonight."
