Well, I guess I’ll make my own way...
Characters: Cassie, Tony
Setting: New York City, Thanksgiving night
Content: Nothing bad
Summary: Thanksgiving crime-fighting shenanigans
Cassie was irritated. She was cold, she was a little lonely- though, she admitted, that one was her own fault- and she was currently fighting with a “super villain” called Stilt-Man. In her own universe this guy had been killed by the Punisher during the war. Cassie didn’t approve of murder but she had to give a little credit to that one- this dude was pretty lame and mildly pathetic and really annoying. In both universes. Right now she was just trying to stop him from doing any property damage with those ridiculous legs. He kept pushing himself up higher and she exasperatedly grew with him, keeping a firm grip on him as he hit her in the stomach. Stilt-Man was surprisingly strong, but Cassie still wasn’t sure what he was trying to achieve other than being a huge nuisance. He also wasn’t very forthcoming with a play by play of whatever his evil agenda was this frigid Thanksgiving evening.
This was the second villain she’d dealt with tonight- the first being a car thief who she supposed wasn’t exactly villain status but he was committing a crime anyway. When she’d finished there she’d stumbled upon this idiot stomping around and when she approached at giant-size he introduced himself as Stilt-Man and had only spouted gibberish since. It was pretty easy to see shortly thereafter that the man was hammered, and maybe being drunk was really the only motivation he needed to act a complete fool and wreak pointless havoc on unsuspecting vehicles and pedestrians. Cassie grappled him into a deserted stretch of a park and tried to keep him there; taking the painful blows he landed on her as best she could. The fists of his armored suit were tiny compared to her mass, but they packed quite a punch. Maybe, if she could just get him to a body of water or something, his suit would short out. He was way more trouble than he was worth and for the first time in a long time Cassie was hoping for some help.
