Tony only tensed and didn't quite recoil when she made her advance, then kept very still, suspicious at first, then relaxed into the patient submission he was used to affording only Pepper. When she withdrew, his eyebrows were still raised, wondering if he passed inspection now. What was she doing mothering him? Weren't they here for him to lecture?

No wonder the Scarlet Witch and Iron Man were such villains in their universe; it must have been boring when the actual villains were so underpowered. Still, the comment kept him quietly humbled for some time, fidgeting idly with his menu until he couldn't seem to tolerate the bulk of his gloves anymore and much of the suit was disassembling with them to stack neatly on the seat beside Tony. Then restack, because they weren't quite even, and there was probably a more efficient way to store them, and again, just in case, and shiver, and finally quiet.
