Wearing our vintage misery
Who: Lina and Charlie
Where: Ignite Bar
When: late evening, around 9pm
So far, no one had hit Charlie today, and while that hadn't normally been cause for him to call it a "good" day, now things were very different. And despite doctor's orders, he wanted a drink. He had no intentions to get shit-faced, thank you very much, but it was definitely due. If he hadn't had to work the next day, there was every indication that he might try very hard to put a dent in Ignite's stock. Whatever the reason behind it, Charlie sat at the bar with his feet propped up against the rungs of the bar stool stood next to his. His glass of Jameson was clutched in his hand at the moment while he stared off into space, swirling the amber liquid absently before sipping occasionally. It was only his second drink, but he was pretty sure it might be the last one for the night. He didn't exactly want to get stupid any time soon. He'd leave that for the start of his weekend. He'd have to check and see when his days off were, but he figured they were coming soon. Not that it mattered whether or not it was the true weekend here. Days of the week had long since lost their true meaning.
Well, except for Monday. Charlie's lip curled up as he thought of this past Monday, his nose giving a phantom twinge as he recalled just how quickly that woman had moved. "Squirrely," he murmured to himself before he took another sip. It was too bad she'd hit him, because he would have rather focused on the fact that she was hot. Not as if the rest of the guests weren't attractive, too, but.. Her dark hair and caramel-colored skin was definitely something that drew the eyes. Almost as soon as he had that thought, he looked over across the bar, blue eyes narrowed as he recognized the very same woman he was thinking so keenly about. The woman he'd had to ask after, seeing as she'd never really told him her name before punching him in the face. "Ahhh, what do we have here?" He straightened from his slouch against the bar-top and smiled as he set his drink down. He touched the bandage on his nose and narrowed his eyes again, the smile staying where it was. "Feeling any better tonight?"
