Charlie could tell from the residual scowl on Lina's face that she really hadn't liked having to follow him out, but he chose not to smile as smugly as he wanted to -- it wouldn't help the situation. The look she gave him when he asked her the defining question made his lips twitch, unable to decide whether or not they wanted to frown or smirk. Her muttered curse gave him pause and he waited for her answer.
Luckily, she chose the smarter of the two answers, so Charlie didn't have to talk her into it. He nodded at her statement. "Oh, I know you don't trust anyone here, why would you?" He managed to find a smile, but it was more sardonic than anything else. "You know you can't just walk out of here and leave. You know that." He took a few steps closer, further lowering his voice. He crossed his arms over his chest so she wouldn't think he meant to touch her. "What you don't know is that you're the only one who can figure out how to leave. You want to leave so bad, you've got to do it on your own. That's the only answer I can give you, but trust me when I say its better than the truth." He waited to see what she would say, eyes narrowing very slightly. Honestly, if he played back what he'd just said, it was just confusing as fuck.
