Who: Sophie and John
Where: The Princess Suite
When: Late Afternoon
He'd spent the first part of the day just...wandering. If that is what one would call walking aimlessly around the ship feeling as if it was getting smaller by the minute. Which in reality, it wasn't. In fact, the ship was by far the biggest one he'd ever been on. But for some reason, John was...antsy. It more then likely was the lack of 'action' he'd gotten lately. In the sense that things had been quiet on the bodyguard front and he was lacking something to do. Granted he could be helping Sophie with her research, or whatever she was calling it. But he didn't believe in any of that Bermuda triangle and all the paranormal bullshit that came with it. The ocean may hold a number of wonders, but having one area where ships and planes were lost without a trace? That was not something that he would readily believe. John's feet were firmly placed in reality and it would take a lot more then rumors and popular belief to alter that fact.
Never the less, that particular subject had been on John's brain for the better part of the afternoon, for reasons unbeknownst to him. So much so that he'd stopped by the on ship library to see if he could find some literature on the subject. Of course, there was plenty, but after glancing at it, the bodyguard deemed none of it really worth a second look and left. Once again, there was the wandering that he seemed so inclined to do. He would have rather been with the girls, but Sophie had rather firmly told him that he would not be needed until later that evening. And as much as he hated to do it, John had followed her 'orders' and taken the day off to 'relax.' There were very few things that he actually did to relax and none of them could be done on ship. Well, one of them maybe. But it was a lot harder to have a one night stand with someone when you quite literally had no where to run off to.
Still, boredom was what it was and it wasn't long before Johns' feet had carried him back to the suite that he shared with Sarah and Sophie. He'd been told to get out of the room for once and do something. Which he had done, technically. And now that he had, John was more then ready to kick back, relax and read one of the many books he'd brought on board. Of course, he'd packed them before he'd known that there would be a rather well stocked library on deck. But hindsight was 20/20 after all.
Stepping into his room, John picked up one of the most recent murder mystery of an author he'd been following for years, and headed for the living room. Dropping down onto the sofa, he kicked off his shoes and propped his feet up on the coffee table. Satisfied that he was just comfortable enough, he flipped open his book and began to read. Several hours later when Sophie walked in, he was still there, albeit in a somewhat different position. Glancing up to see who it was, John said somewhat distractedly. "What have you been up too? Here I thought I'd been banned from the room because you had something planned that require you have this whole, huge, suite to yourself."
