"You could at least be outside reading. Or like, going out and meeting people," Sophie suggested. She rolled her eyes at his butler comment, having twigged onto the sarcasm a second earlier. "Jeeves is a crappy name for a butler. He should be Alfred instead. Besides, I think of the search engine now whenever someone says Jeeves." She settled back against the arm of the couch, legs draped familiarly over his lap.
"Yep, research," she said, cradling Lola like a baby and rubbing her belly. The tiny Yorkie wiggled with delight, mouth open in a doggy grin. "Sarah found it for me in the ship's library. It's actually pretty interesting. It'd be creepy if I thought it was real. People just up and disappearing for years, empty ships that'd been lost suddenly reappearing. Nuts." She blinked when he admitted his shortage of swimming. "Dude, we should go swimming then," she suggested immediately. "That is a travesty, that you haven't been in so long." She checked the clock in the entertainment center. "Well, maybe tonight after the rock showcase or something," she amended. "It's almost time to start getting ready for dinner."
