Limitations were something that Sidney was all too familiar with. Even now, several weeks after her arrival, she was still being cautious. She didn't want to lift too much too soon, even if the staples had been removed and she'd been cleared by the doctors at the hospital, Sidney wasn't going to take any chances. She was fine putting new books on the shelf, straightening and doing some light cleaning.
Sidney planned on taking it easy until next month rolled around, she hated the fact that she couldn't do what she wanted to when she wanted to, but it was what it was. There wasn't anything she could do to change anything.
The girls that worked for her were sweet, but they made her feel old. Sidney couldn't help but smile at the thought as she brought a few novels from the back to the front to dump into one of the 10 for a dollar bin. It felt like a lifetime ago that she'd been close to their age, that she'd been young, dumb and in love with a crazy psychopath. At least here they wouldn't have to worry about it, well, hopefully not anyway.
Going back up to the counter, Sidney let out a sigh before she sat down on one of the stools behind it. They'd been busy over the weekend with the sale, but after that? Things had slowed down. Today she wasn't even certain they'd break even, but it wasn't as if it was her money on the line. "I hate slow evenings." She turned her attention to Davina, a half smile tugging up one corner of her mouth, "The day just drags by when it's slow." Sidney stretched her arms out in front of her, still being careful not to pull out too hard before dropping her hands back down into her lap. "Are you doing okay, Davina?"
