Part of Sidney could understand that. Her childhood had been happy, full of love and laughter. Her teen years had been that way up until a point. Then everything had fallen apart, and her life had been taken away from her. She was never going to escape it either.
There was always someone out there that was trying to up the ante on her. She was almost thankful she had barely any biological family left at this point. Well, that she knew of anyway. That thought was enough to cause her to look toward the door as if some ghost of the past was going to waltz right through it.
Knowing her luck they would.
Shaking herself from her thoughts, she turned to look at Davina. "Maybe you should look at this as a way to get a fresh start?" Sidney lifted a shoulder, "Unfortunately none of us know what is going on back home. Are we missing? Are we still living our lives as if nothing is going on here? Is this all some fucked up dream?" Letting out a strained laugh, Sidney reached up to rub the back of her neck. "I wish I had bigger and better words of wisdom, but I don't except take one day at a time. Even if it's just minute by minute, you've managed to make it against whatever odds you might be facing. I think that's all anyone can do really."
