So, I've acquired an Undead Bane (the fucking irony). And it's pretty adamant
about killing any and all undead things.I know this because it's also telepathic and told me.

Anyone else get a talking inanimate object?

Well that's promising at least. Though I suppose if it does find me particularly more offensive it's not as though I haven't come back from the dead before.
