All I want for Christmas is a match in which both teams score a century before you figure in the Snitch. The sum of both team's goals, that is.

Now that the dust from the hearings has died down a little, what are our collective thoughts on the hearings, and who spoke and didn't, apart from the obvious?

And this match, what in Godric's name?

Also, just for your information, in case you think the referendum plays into it, I've seen the numbers for the poll that will go out this week, probably Wednesday. 38 percent for, 31 percent against, 31 percent undecided. I think a bunch of those so-called undecided voters just don't want to admit how they're voting.

	I don't know exactly but whatever we do we'd at least be professional, whereas Rita Skeeter will probably be making up even more outrageous supposedly true stories than usual. A fairly close decision, then, with the affirmative pulling out just ahead. What is the margin of error in this poll?

If you are looking for ~~off the record~~ commentary on the match, I am afraid my sister has not provided me any answers. Of course, I thought it best not to ask.

Jason King asking for testimony from both Kavanaugh and Lethbridge was a boon for us. We now have other factions looking for answers, of course they might not interested in the same ones we are. As far as I am aware they have not made themselves available for cross-examination. Please correct me if this is false.

4 percent, I think, for the margin of error. It's hard to get it down based on our population samples.

Ugh, no, I wouldn't talk to your sister about it. I didn't ask my brother about the Fall Classic either.

Still sorting through all the financials. I know some of the teams are caught up in contracts of various sorts that this measure will change. It's the weird matches I've been thinking about. Sometimes they're just weird but I swear--no offense to your sister--that there are times I really do think they're throwing them. Someone I heard at the match suggested the water bottles had been laced with sleeping potions and I can almost believe it.

Hate to tell you, but Saxy and Kav turned me down flat. King doesn't get what the point of the sub commission is, which is mostly to keep me chasing my tail and punish me for not letting them ram it through, but I'm using to let people get on the record about what they want, despite those kindly gentlemen.

Aside from the fact that I think I'm missing something at #1, my list of motives looks like this:
1: ???
2: Prove their disapproval of Thicknesse Ministry
3: Keep the League/Owners from having any liability for the season by virtue of the league not existing.

That last one is kinda tough, but the case isn't too bad: if the league was absorbed by the Ministry, then if anyone is owed reparations, they can go ask the Ministry for them.

What confuses me is that while people are talking about that, nobody's really taking them seriously.

And honestly? After listening to the testimony, I'm leaning towards striking the whole season myself.

If it was something done to the team, your sister might not know. But I take your word for it and if she says anything of her own free will about the team's performance, I'll be curious about it.

I know Portree's medic; she was my dorm mate. So I can speak confidently about what happens to Portree's water and what would happen if someone was dosing it with something. Maggie would kill somebody.

	Ballycastle is golden until the playoffs. Then the teams with better records will shine. (Seriously, they're 2-4-0. That match where they knocked out the keeper really gave them a good headstart) And anyway, it's a Neep year. That's really the thing to look forward to ~~even if I'm up to my ears in neep~~. Mum's newfound fondness for Australia gave me an idea (thank you Willison). I have a lead on one of the curators who organizes exhibitions at one of their opera houses and uses some memorabilia and records from when mum's recordings went big as atmosphere and decoration for the International Hall.

I'm wondering if we should go a step farther and suggest that should the owner expand it into a small holiday exhibition we should be able to get Agnes Urquhart herself to come see it and appear for a special one night performance. They benefit from sales, mum gets a holiday trip and new lot of excited fans...

Nothing like a little flattery for the holidays? You know how she enjoys it when anyone outside the UK appreciates her.

But I'm taking all suggestions for Da's gift.
