If there's one subject I can easily say I'm more tired of than goblins it's Y2K paranoia that is currently gripping the muggle world. Except I don't think it's paranoia because I really don't want to be in London if the tube stops running because the computers are down or something.

Thank Helga I can apparate.

Except that's not going to help me with my growing addiction to Coronation Street if the tellys are affected too.

My mum is absolutely convinced that the world is going to stop functioning, no matter how many times I tell her that it's probably going to be fine.

Sounds like my grandfather. Except of course what did we all do before computers?

I told her I'd come over and help if her dishwasher stops working. I think that's her primary concern. Not that she and my dad eat so much that there's a lot of them.

That and her phone. I tried to convince her to keep an owl, but she hates them.

My grandfather is in Hong Kong and still running the family business. Come to think of it, I think he's okay. It's the board of directors that is freaking out more.

You would think my mum was the Board of Directors for something based on her level of anxiety.

What sort of business does your family have?

Real Estate. My mum's family anyway. Entertainment for my father.

Hmm, well, I can see it being a problem in entertainment, depending on the area. It seems like there's computers involved in everything with that these days.

Thank god for magic and the simplicity of sport.

My father is oddly oblivious. Which.... is not that unusually, actually.

Might be for the best in this situation.

I was an assistant for him for a few months. Never again.
