He's forced into media, he's forced into his picture being taken, and then Lennox, still not quite sure how it all happened, goes for a quiet lie down on a locker room bench and doesn't speak for an hour.

His first speech is to Angus. "Just imagine Ma's face if one of us isn't man of the match after this..."

Lennox totally gets a post game hug & kiss from Lex. "Cheers for saving my arse out there!" (She was very worried about how long she would have to play solo against portree)

"Hmm?" Lennox enquires, opening one eye to look at her. He'd been almost falling asleep there on the bench.

"Catching the snitch so soon after the ref ejected Kal. Saved me against having to go up against the Macfustys alone."

Angus, who's been right next to Lennox for all of it, keeping him company and accepting congratulations and impromptu dance parties on behalf of both Campbell brothers, and keeping occupied once things calm down a bit by examining the big bruise just starting to spread over his ribs and thinking about finally wandering over to Florrie to get it looked at.

He looks up when Len finally speaks, and grins and ruffles his brother's hair fondly. "She'd be calling all the papers to protest, I reckon. And she'd be right, you deserve it. Did you ever see a bloke that big move that fast?" Referring, of course, to Pip Parkinson, The Mountain That Flies.

Florrie comes for him so that's all right. If the party wants to move to the tent, she's all right with that.

Big but careful hug for Angus if he's having any!

Oh, Angus will strip off right there in the locker room for her, he's not bothered. His teammates have seen it all before, anyway ;) He joshes with Florrie, with big faux-anxious eyes: "Am I gonna make it, doc?"

He will happily take a hug, and squeeze a little just to show it doesn't hurt that much. (It does hurt that much, but he's a guy.)

"I think you'll survive," Florrie plays along, even before she's done any diagnostics or healed anything or slathered him in bruise paste.

Florrie looks like she's going to fuss at him for that squeeze but she chooses not to.

He is exaggeratedly relieved. But also definitely ready for that bruise paste, ma'am, and he doesn't complain at any instructions to take it easy.

Also turns out that's going to be a wet and sticky hug because Florrie was doused with her own champagne!

Figuratively leaning on Angus this whole time, Lennox peeks up at his brother, gently swatting away the hand that's doing the hair ruffling.

Lennox snorted, clearly not sold on the idea of being intimidated by the taller man. "I always said it's a mistake putting the bigger blokes in as Seeker. More of ye to move about."

"Aye, but the new lad didn't have any trouble movin' his big braw self about up there today." Angus folded his arms and leaned back against the wall, moving carefully in respect to his bruise, which he could already tell was going to be a stunner. "But you're still the fastest, no contest. Never get tired of watching you race for the Snitch, mate."

When everyone is celebrating on the pitch, Merc makes sure to find their injured hero and take him by the shoulders with a huge grin (you'd think he was drunk but he's just ridiculously happy). "Still alive? Way to outshoot everyone, lad! I knew it'd be a good idea to throw you at Portree!"

Angus grins right back, just as high on victory. "Ach, well, the defense kept King pinned down pretty well, that's all, I was just the one they weren't markin' so well. Had to keep McComack entertained, ye ken." He shakes Merc's hand firmly, probably gripping too tight in his emotional state. "Thanks again for givin' me the chance, skipper."

When the on pitch celebrating and media bit is over, plus things have started to die down in the locker room, Merc will come up to a Lennox lying on the bench. He's got a proud wide grin on and crouches down to pat Lennox's shoulder and get closer to eye-level.

"That's my lad. What did I tell you? Doesn't matter what tricks or surprises they throw at us. Beautiful job. Couldn't be better." He'll leave him be after that because he's earned his quiet time.

Cho lets Lennox have his space; she remembers that feeling of disbelief and accomplishment, though clearly it's a different matter on the pro level when there's all these people clamouring for a bit of you after the game. Later, once the celebrations are underway, she finds him to shake his hand.

"Well flown there, mate."

Lennox opens his eye to peek up at Cho, still, privately, unsure what to make of her. She's playing nice, though, so he plays nice back.

"Thanks, Chang," he quipped, not sure what to say to someone who wasn't actually playing. "Hope everyone got a decent view... relatively short one."
