	Ellie is decked out in full form today. Her normally blonde hair is dye purple to match the team's robes and she has some fierce stars shaved into her undercut. Also proudly in place is her dragon earring. It totally moves a little, especially as she approaches Merc. "Decided to show up today, huh?" She asks approaching with a smirk. 	Merc raises an eyebrow, amused at the look. He's got a Montrose tie on but nothing as dedicated as Elsie. "I always show up, Elsie. Question now is, will your team?" With a smirk he offers his hand for the customary handshake in front of the press. "Loser wears winner's colours next bloc plus while they skin their knees helping out the other team's pet charity?" Tempted as she was to not shake his hand, we are sure someone told her that this was not acceptable. Instead she goes in for the handshake and quickly adapts it to their secret handshake that they did as kids playing on the Reserve. Which of course has a mighty dragon roar with the fist bump at the end. Which also earns a little roar from her earring.

It only takes Merc a moment to catch on, then he's grinning and transitions smoothly into their old secret handshake, much to the confusion of the press around them. Especially when they end on a roar and fist bump.

The photographers look at each other as if to ask 'what just happened?'. But both coaches are looking more than a little amused and pleased with themselves at throwing things for a loop. Keep up people, we're setting the tone for the Montrose/Portree rivalry this year!

PreGame - Mascot Double Feater

Per their arrangement, Tor and Gregor take the pitch for a pre-game show. The point is mainly to warm up the crowd before the match and give them a good time. Laddie is out there wearing a kilt over his lion costume and there's a piper's duel to kick things off.

Other highlights include duets, fan dancing competition, and a large pipe and drum corps. Yes, they'll do a bunch of the scottish standards and at one point it's probably Gregor leading the pipes and Torquil leading drums in some badass routines.

At the end of the routines, Left Magpie paused when the announcers from the box interrupted.

"Francis Cunningham, WWN breaking in to say that we'd like everyone to welcome the Special Guests of the British and Irish Quidditch League, all the way from Hogwarts, Headmistress Minverva McGonagall!"

"Headmistress McGonagall is here with the captains of her school's quidditch teams and reminds parents and friends that Hogwarts' season begins next weekend!

"Thanks Francis, I'm sure looking forward to a great three weeks of Quidditch, and I know you are. Please join us in singing the Hogwarts Anthem, everyone."

Lefty looked at Tor, shrugs, and leads the band and the audience in a ragged but spirited performance of one of the worst songs in the wizarding world.
