"I think it is exactly enough. It certainly matches the ridiculousness of the series today." Some people are team or die, but Jason has never been that way. It probably comes from his background as racer. Solid competition was important, but there was always a place for sportsmanship and friendships. These players were his peers, his colleagues. "Always good to remember that while we give it all we can out there, it's not actually life or death."

Pip nodded, understanding completely. As far as he was concerned competition stopped as soon as they stepped off the pitch. "And if you're not having fun you're probably in the wrong line of work."

Jason shakes his head. "I can't imagine doing something I didn't love and enjoy. It's probably why I have about five different jobs -- I love too many things." It was a joke, not too far from the real truth. But Jason worked hard across many domains. For lots of different reasons with passion chief among them. "But the game is something else..."

Honestly, Pip had no idea what his life would be after Quidditch, but he would take it as it came. Even if meant he was a house husband and stay at home dad. "There's nothing wrong with loving many things, as long as you don't ignore one aspect of your life in favor of others."

Now that sounded like something his therapist told him. Balance was easier said than done. "Sound advice from the most noble of large deer."

That's not a mistake that Pip sounded like a therapist, but he kept tha part of himself quite private, not ready to become a spokesperson to something he still saw as a personal weakness rather than the disease of addiction. "Sound advice from a parrot disguised as a parrot." Pip winked. "Good luck with the Neep."

Jason smiled. "You too, Pip."
